This is a guy who serves as the chairman of his own foundation, the Asomugha Foundation, which has two primary programs: Orphans and Widows in Need and Asomugha College Tour for Scholars. He was nominated for the 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009 Whizzer community service award, and won in 2010. Last year he was one of three finalist for the Walter Payton man of the Year award. In 2008 he was nominated for the Sports Illustrated sports man of the year.... The list continues.
Who better than Nnamdi Asomugha to nurture a troubled player??? Recent posts have highlighted how a trouble past does not mean someone is headed down the same path in the NFL. Plenty of troubled college stars have turned out to be great players in the NFL. Janoris Jenkins is an ELITE talent. With Nnamdi Asomugha by his side at all times, I am sure he could shape up into a great player.
