The Eagles rarely draft someone that I was hoping for with the lone exception being DeSean Jackson (I wanted him in the 1st, which probably would have spared us the whole contract fiasco), Jeremy Maclin and LeSean McCoy were more than I hoped for; I was hoping for Knowshon Moreno, glad they didn't listen to me that time. This draft looks like a great chance to get some premier talent. Here are 3 players they can realistically draft that I am hoping for.
Stephen Hill - My favorite WR prospect in this draft. His only flaw seems to be a lack of production in college due to an offense that ran primarily the ball. His size/speed combo is hard to find and best of all he's not a diva. He's an excellent blocker with a team first attitude. I suppose if Blackmon were available at 15, I'd take him over Hill, but that won't be an issue,
Janoris Jenkins- I would not be upset if the Eagles took Janoris Jenkins at 15. If not for his off the field concerns(which don't concern me) he'd be gone in the top 10. While he's had some issues, his effort has been solid. He does his homework(film study) and shows up against top competition. He's also an explosive returner. Hopefully the Eagles can land him in the 2nd, but they might have to trade up to do so. I can't see him lasting until the 3rd or 4th round as some have predicted.
Russell Wilson- 3rd best QB in the draft. This guy gets no respect because of his height. If the Eagles are to have any success this season, it will be because they found a way to succeed with a short QB. Wilson played behind an O-Line that was taller than most NFL lines so he might have it figured out all ready. He's smart, athletic and has a strong arm. Perfect fit. I'd consider taking him with the 51st pick.
