so i was wondering, since it is suggested that andy reid is on a short leash this season and is going to have to have a very big year and is technically all in this seasaon...then why would he even worry about future drafts? if i were andy...i would use next years draft picks as ammunition to either get back into the first round or keep the 15th pick and move up into the 10 as well. this is a pretty deep defensive draft class and our defense was atrocious last year so why not get the best talents for our D in this years draft? i mean..i could understand why its not ideal if you look at it from a fans standpoint or jeffrey lurie but if you look at it from big red's point of view and he really does have his back against the wall to win this year and make a deep playoff run then why the hell not? so i started to think on how that could work for us...and i was thinking...maybe use the 15th and our first for next year to swap with the bengals two picks at 17th and 21st overall. then trade the 21st and one of our two second rounders to lets say...the jags to move into the top 10 and grab Luke Kuechly...but i am a little biased on that pick because i do love and want LK wearing midnight green but i guess we could also target Fletcher Cox as well since he would be perfect in the middle of our D-Line. but i would definitely also rather grab LK cause we could always find a premium talent at DT with the later 1st round pick since this draft class is a lot deeper at DT than it is with quality LB. so all in all...we would end up losing a 1st rounder next year and the 15th overall pick along with a second rounder to move to 7th and 17th overall in the first round this year...or maybe 7th and 21st overall in the draft. i dont know..its definitely higly improbable and most likely never going to happen but i was just thinking about it since everyone was saying stuff about reid not drafting a qb that high this year cause he's on a short leash.
but if it were up to me...and in no way, shape or form am i saying it should be up to me or i wish it was...cause i dont think that at all. but if it were up to me and i was in andy's position...i definitely would consider trying to do something in the lines of what i just said. and if it did go down the way i just described...would draft like this.
7th overall - Luke Kuechly
17th or 21st overall - Michael Brockers or Jerel Worthy
46th or 51st - Stephen Hill or Alshon Jeffrey
