Ray's Replies: Fletcher Cox an option at 15?
In his latest mailbag, Ray Didinger weighs in on whether the Eagles would be interested in Mississippi State DT Fletcher Cox and whether Cox will still be around when the Birds select.

2012 NFL Draft Team Needs: Philadelphia Eagles
1. Safety: Philadelphia might be better served by playing the guys it has — the Eagles drafted Nate Allen two years ago and Jaiqwaun Jarrett in 2011 — but there continue to be questions here. 2. Outside linebacker: Trading for DeMeco Ryans should solve Philadelphia’s problems up the middle, but the Jamar Cheney-Brian Rolle combo on the outside remains a bit of a weak link. 3. Running back: LeSean McCoy’s presence means that Philadelphia does not have to break the bank here. The Eagles would love to lessen McCoy’s load in 2012, though, and it’s hard to see Dion Lewis providing too much help with that.

3 Eagles draft thoughts
LeSean McCoy played 894 snaps last season, the most of any running back in the league, according to Pro Football Focus. At the owners' meetings, Reid told reporters he might want to lighten McCoy's load a bit going forward. The problem last year was that Ronnie Brown simply wasn't very good, and Dion Lewis was a rookie who the coaches obviously didn't trust to play significant snaps. But don't forget that reports indicated the Eagles had serious interest in Darren Sproles before he signed with the Saints. If they can find a versatile running back in the early rounds, perhaps they'd go that route.
