Should Philadelphia move back in the draft this year for more second round picks? With the acquisition of Demeco Ryans, now as our clear cut starting MLB. There really is no need for the only player I saw truly worth the number 15 pick this year for our team (obviously thats Luke Keuchly).
The only picks I can see Philly really taking if they land to us at 15 would be a top 10 caliber player somehow fell back. You know who those players obviously are, the best at each given position. I see Eagle fans constantly wanting Fletcher Cox, Luke Keuchly (as I said that'll change now), Zach Brown (way toooo early to be picked at 15), or god forbid Poe (Workout Warrior). I see much similar value in players that will easily fall to the second round though, so why not stock-pile? What if Ryan Tannehil somehow falls back? Theres some food for thought.
DT is a very close chase to me, I see Fletcher Cox as a huge talent and I wouldn't be upset at all if they took him, but we need depth in a lot of places, and moving back can give us SOLID depth in many of these. At DT I am a pretty big fan of Kendell Reyes and Jared Crick who will both be available in the second round, as well as Derek Wolfe for some reason is growing on me (probably due to the season finale against UCONN for the easy strip, TD). The need for an OLB now to compliment Ryans is obvious, but I like the idea of a Bobby Wagner later if that means we can snatch up another key player at the same time.
I'm not sure.. This conversation came up between me and another die hard Eagles fan when we were on Xbox and saw the Ryans trade go down and we really were unsure. Curious what the general conception is out there now.
