Dan Connor Chooses Cowboys Over Eagles

Stay connected for news and updates

Former Panthers LB Dan Connor has signed with the Cowboys, but according to Geoff Mosher he did get an offer from the Eagles. Didn't sound like a particularly aggressive offer... but it was something.

If the Eagles were offering a one year deal, they obviously were just hoping to get Connor on the cheap. Dallas obviously sees a little more in him. The interesting takeaway at least is that the Eagles are dabbling in the LB market, although at least as far as this goes, not heavily. Update: Jeff McLane said the Eagles interest in Connor was "always low."

Connor will join his fellow oft-injured ex Nittany Lion Sean Lee in Dallas. He's the Cowboys 6th free agent signing so far this year, the most the team has signed since 2006.
