Vincent Jackson not likely to be franchised

I'll pass
he’s a bit overrated in my opinion. VJax is no doubt a talented receiver but he’s close to 30, and has been a consistent problem for the Charger’s. We talk about Desean’s BS but this guy sat out 10 weeks over a contract dispute, and has been less than the picture of health over the past few years.
Agreed 100%. Plus, he’ll be demanding way more than his worth.

It's tough to judge from the outside
if someone says to you, this is your contract offer, I know it’s not what you want but if you play 3 years of it and are out performing it we will give you a new one before you play that fourth year. And then they don’t do that. Well I might sit out on principle too. Remember he held out but played his fourth year, they tagged him and then he sat out 10 weeks.
At least one more year of Andy and Juan. If they don't win it all they both better be gone!
No way Eagles draft a LB in the first round 2012.
We will see if Spags was in the right place at the right time in the Gmens SB run. Or was that the fluke year and he really is just mediocre.

He was also an inconsistent player last year. He either showed up big time or didn’t at all. He played all 16 games but failed to get over 80 yards 11 times.

You mean
River showed up or didn’t. It’s hard to be consistent when your QB has his worst year ever. BUT I’m not wanting the Eagles to go after VJax badly. I think Plax would be perfect for our redzone need. And cheaper!
Maclin, Avant, SSmith and Plax would be a nice group.

I watched Vincent play in college
for the real UNC (not North Carolina… see my profile page). And he had a lot of worthless QBs, but he still held the school record for catches and yards for both a season and a career, until all 4 records were broken this past season. But the guy who broke the records is Chad Hall-type size from a FCS school, so he doubt he will make it in the pros.
I’ll take him.

I would too
I think he’d love to play with Vick. Having the running attack that we had last season and a better receiver replacing whiny ass D Jackson….I’m all for it.
The guy can solve a lot of our RZ issues. Put V Jackson, Celek, Maclin and Shady down at the goal line….where do you begin to defend that? If you stop them then Vick just jogs in for the score!
ill take plax

At the very least,
He softens the market for DeSean.
he is unreliable
He disappears from games, injured relatively often and has been a malcontent most of his career. Oh yeah and he is old.

old?
he’s only played in the NFL for 6 or 7 years. How young do you want him to be? Isn’t Plax several years older than Jackson? Seems like he’s been around longer. Vincent has done some weird, dumb stuff, but at least he hasn’t shot himself and spent 2 years in jail for being a complete dumbass with zero brain cells.
i never said i wanted plaxico...
Jackson is 30, he was older when he got drafted.
