Mel Kiper's Top Five MIKE Linebackers

Stay connected for news and updates

TEMPE, AZ - SEPTEMBER 09: Linebacker Vontaze Burfict #7 of the Arizona State Sun Devils warms up before the college football game against the Missouri Tigers at Sun Devil Stadium on September 9, 2011 in Tempe, Arizona. (Photo by Christian Petersen/Getty Images)

ESPN's Mel Kiper has released his latest big board and I thought it would be interesting to take a look at his top five inside linebackers. Of course, we can't know whether this will still be a need for the Eagles come draft day, but we can agree that is right now.

Luke Kuechly *6-3, 225

Vontaze Burfict *6-3, 245

Don'ta Hightower *6-4, 260

Audie Cole 6-5, 239

Mychal Kendricks 6-1, 240

Kiper says that it's a top heavy class.

A solid pairing at the top, both Kuechly and Burfict are well-known among evaluators and should crack the first round. Both have a ton of experience and will be able to step in, make calls and help teams immediately. I'm glad to see Hightower is back in this picture after he suffered a knee injury that kept him out of action in 2010.
