Please retire an Eagle

Then intern under Todd Bowles as a secondary coach for a season, then be ours when Todd Bowles eventually takes over the defense.

Usually good players make crappy coaches, because they can’t teach what makes them great.

I’m not so sure that’s true, so much as good players don’t make better coaches than fringe players. Of course, fringe players tend to end up as coaches more often, because there are more of them out there.

I don’t think Dawk was good because he was overly talented. Instead I think it was hard work, dedication and a great understanding of the game. But you may be right about most great players not being able to teach well.

At least one more year of Andy and Juan. If they don't win it all they both better be gone!

No way Eagles draft a LB in the first round 2012.

We will see if Spags was in the right place at the right time in the Gmens SB run. Or was that the fluke year and he really is just mediocre.

Not to care, but you can teach the fundamentals that you studied so hard to perfect. You can’t teach freak athleticism or instincts, but Dawk was a fundamentally sound player, and you can teach fundamentals and scheme.
