I have seen many interesting Mock's going on here the last week or 2 and I finally decided I was going to make my own. This is opinion based on what I would do if I had my choice to run this team for this upcoming draft and free agency period.
Just a small section on FA signings & players I would let walk/bring back.
Bring back players -
Desean Jackson - (this is as long as we work out a reasonable contract) I am not breaking the bank for him
Derek Landri - He found his spot on this team & will improve
King Dunlap - Always great to have a solid back up
Owen Schmit - Not flashy & very quite but has earned his spot on this team
Let'em walk -
Steve Smith, Juqua Parker, Vince Young, Ronnie Brown, Victor Abiamiri, Antonio Dixon - All of these guys I am sorry but can live without.
Now to my draft - First trade - Eagles trade back from 15th to 22nd with Cleveland in exchange get 4th in 2012 & 3rd in 2013 - Asante Samuels to MIN for 3rd - #67
1st (22) - Dont'a Hightower - Alabama - ILB
2nd (46) - Fletcher Cox - Mississippi State - DT
2nd (51-AZ) - Zebrie Sanders - Florida St. - OT
3rd (67 -MIN) - Coryell Judie - Texas A&M - CB
3rd (77) - Dwight Jones - North Carolina - WR
4th(99 -TB) - Emmanuel Acho - Texas - OLB
4th(100-CLE) - Russell Wilson - Wisconsin - QB
4th (114)- Joe Adams - Arkansas - WR
5th (145)- Mike Brewster - Ohio State - C
6th (176)- Matt Conrath - Virginia - DE
6th (183-DEN)- Brian Linthicum - Michigan St - TE
6th (189-NE)- Jaye Howard - Florida - DT
No 7th rd picks & UDFA are way to many to look at.
This is again what I would do and hope strongly that the Eagles take this serious and puch the defensive picks early and often. I know they will jump back and take some offensive guys but get us a couple d starters to hit it off.
So lets have it, am I stretching on trades? Never happen with some of these picks? Lets discuss.
