On what fucking planet

Can Burfict play SAM in a 4-3?

Also, it’s “Tulloch”.

Also, it’d be stupid to get rid of Patterson.

Why patterson doesn’t fit Washburn system Dixon does. Burflict just needs good coaching

by AlvindEllis on Feb 11, 2012 8:55 AM EST up reply actions

*Sigh....*

Patt and Dix are almost identical styles of 4-3 NT. Dixon’s just a little heavier.

And we ask our SAM to run with TEs. Burfict is an INTERIOR linebacker. Do you understand this at all?

but he can be coached...

you know since our linebackers coach is amazing and everything.

Nope

not from what I’ve seen

also

there’s no way tulloch gets out of detroit or even wants out. they’re not letting him go anywhere. plus he’s with a defensive minded coach playing behind suh, williams, and fairley.

It talked last year, and no one liked what it said. I think this year it’ll be pretty fucking quiet.

feel like this is a pipe dream

No way Boykin lasts until the 4th, Joe Adams stock is rising as well. I don’t think hardly any of these players will be available where you’re projecting them.

by P_Roach17 on Feb 10, 2012 10:53 PM EST reply actions

Post Shrine game thats where most scouts have them projected to go

by AlvindEllis on Feb 11, 2012 8:47 AM EST up reply actions

Boykin and Joe Adams are both starting to look like late 2nd rounders, Mike Adams is looking like a mid 1st right now.

Mike Adams is rising fast as well. He may well not last past the first.

Hell, I wouldn’t be that surprised if we take him

by DLawrence55 on Feb 14, 2012 2:38 PM EST up reply actions

Kendall wright is ridiculously overrated, his stock setup with RG III

He’ll be a slot receiver in the nfl and theres already Jason Avant guy already… Neither Joe Adams or Kendall Wright or DeSean Jackson 2.0.

WR Chad Hall & CB Joselio Hanson 3rd Round pick Patriots

Don’t think they get that much for those two

by SoDakEagle on Feb 11, 2012 2:02 AM EST reply actions

And neither of them are viable trade assets. They’re either being kept or cut. If the Rams didn’t trade for Hanson during training camp last year, no team will with him being a year older. They could just draft a CB and groom him instead of trading for a slot CB.

Nobody is going to trade more than a ham sandwich for Chad Hall, and the sandwich won’t even have lettuce or tomato on it. I love Chad, but he’s really not tradeable.

I believe so Patriots have versatile players on there team Walker, Woodhead, The coach loves those types of players Hall is that player and a slot cornerback is not easy to find take a look at the eagles when did we have success last year?? when we moved hanson back to the nickle position no cromartie Patriots had a WR playing on defense this year as a CB. They know they need aproven veteran at that position.

if they take the best players available this is not a unrealistic draft

by AlvindEllis on Feb 12, 2012 10:00 AM EST up reply actions

so we keep Jackson and use our 1st pick to get a WR? thats just dumb

by thadw on Feb 11, 2012 2:15 PM EST reply actions

Why is it dumb to go after a WR even if we keep Desean. Imagine if we take floyd or Jeffery with our first pick. You could line up Jackson, Maclin, Floyd or Jeffery, Celek and McCoy. Now you have a advantage you can exploit. Now if we keep Desean I would not pick up a Adams or wright. the other option could be to go with a TE who you could match with Celek in 2 TE sets along with Maclin, McCoy, and who ever else.

by emtmess on Feb 12, 2012 8:31 AM EST up reply actions

I AGREE

ALL WE TALK ABOUT IS THE SUPER BOWL! SO WE NEED AS MANY WEAPONS AS WE CAN STOCK, MACLIN OR DESEAN GO DOWN WHO ELSE DO WE HAVE? NOBODY ELSE TO STRETCH THE FIELD. JUST ASK THE GIANTS WHY THEY HAVE CRUZ,MANNINGHAM,NICKS

by AlvindEllis on Feb 12, 2012 10:12 AM EST up reply actions

Then let's draft a QB in the first....

Mike Vick go down…who else do we have?
Maybe another running back too. Shady go down…who else do we have?

This draft is RIDICULOUS. Neither of the Adams, Burfict, Cole, or Boykin will go as low as you project them. Hell, neither will Taylor for that matter. Then you reach on Rainey…

The hardest part about truly doing a mock draft is you have to take out your Philadelphia Eagles love and actually try to draft what (in your opinion) is in the best interest of all 32 teams…not make the other 31 teams skip the players you like so the Eagles can get them in your mock.

Why do people always think I'm playing the Race Card???
Is it because I'm black???

by Djax10 on Feb 12, 2012 12:48 AM EST reply actions

Why is everybody freaking out about Burfict getting drafted in this one?

This is the most laughable part of the post:

Fullback: No fullbacks anymore 3 Tight End Sets

One team ran primarily out of 2-tight end sets, not to mention Clay Harbor has shown very little to look like a future Aaron Hernandez.

by TommykUD on Feb 12, 2012 10:24 AM EST reply actions

In his defense, Ladarius Green is a physical specimen who reminds me a lot of Jimmy Graham’s combination of great size and catching ability. He’s not a good blocker, but a two TE set with him and Celek would cause some major mismatches. Put those two on the field with Jackson and Maclin, with McCoy in the backfield and Vick under center, and there’s simply no way to cover everyone without a breakdown somewhere. Use two LBs to cover the TEs and one of them will get burned. Swap a LB out for a nickel corner, and Shady or Vick will get loose. Bring a safety up for coverage and Jackson or Maclin will burn you the defense deep. Drop back into a zone and the Eagles have seven guys on the line to block for McCoy. The Pats rode the two TE set to the SB with Danny Woodhead and BJGE at RB and Deion Branch at WR, and they only lost because Gronkowski got injured. There are just so many possibilities with two capable TEs, I really think it’s the way of the future of NFL offenses. The Eagles would be smart to get on the bandwagon before coverage LBs (guys like Zach Brown, Keenan Robinson) become popular.

I'll give you a cookie if you know what my pic is from.

Because this is fantastic unintentional comedy. Thank you.

This

But I appreciate the logic behind it, AlvindEllis. Weapons all over the field, with Vick and McCoy in the backfield. The Eagles would have an offensive juggernaut. But there is no chance of your mock ever happening. Unless your playing Madden.

Crush them, my Birds!!! CRUSH THEM!!!!!!!!!
