these “international” football games make me laugh. No other country takes football as seriously as America does. There isn’t even a close second. Basketball and baseball are international sports…..overseas, they call it AMERICAN football for a reason

U can also ask yourself

Why you call european football a soccer? For the same exact reason as in Europe and other continents, they call it American football.
But your point as such is valid. It is played on the highest level only in the states, but believe there are thousands of volunteers and semi-pros, who are trying to increase the level of football around the world. We don’t have optimal facilities or anything, but we are busting our butts to improve every single day for the love to the sport:)
And btw World team beat yesterday American team for the first time. So people around the world are doing something right :)

Football exists in a lot of countries and is called Football in those (mostly because the nations have their own word for soccer, in Danish for instance it’s Fodbold and Football). The Danish league has existed for almost 20 years, last year Tony Simmons who has played for both the Colts and the Patriots joined a team in Denmark as an OC and WR, another team got a Florida Gator on their team. Ofcouse we’re not as great as you yet, but c’mon.. Show some support, guys like Sebastian Vollmer and Bjoern Werner are great guys, and what would the NBA be like without Pau Gasol and others.. Just because we’re not as great as you yet doesn’t mean we suck..
