LeSean McCoy Named NFL's FedEx Ground Player Of The Year
An online fan vote has awarded LeSean McCoy the NFL's FedEx Ground Player Of The Year Award. As part of the award, FedEx will donate $50,000 to a Delaware Valley area junior achievement program. Here's what they had to say about McCoy.
Philadelphia’s LE SEAN MC COY ran for a league-high 17 touchdowns in 2011 and was named the NFC’s starting running back in the 2012 Pro Bowl. His 1,309 rushing yards ranked fourth in the NFL. He averaged 4.8 yards per attempt, and led the NFL with 84 runs for a first down. His 17 rushing touchdowns (and 20 overall) broke Eagles’ records that had stood since 1945. McCoy rushed for a season-high 185 yards and two touchdowns in the Eagles’ Week 8 victory over the Dallas Cowboys. McCoy was nominated four times for FedEx Ground Player of the Week honors, winning twice.
Drew Brees was named the "Air Player Of The Year." McCoy beat out Ray Rice and Maurice Jones-Drew for the award.

Damn right.
He was the one bright star on our team this year and thats saying something when we are rush deficient team. Hopefully they grow with that for next year seeing how successful they were running it this year.

’nuff said.
AR should have to wear a Flava Flav necklace until he learns how to manage a clock.

Shady Mac all day!
I wish they woulda given Big Weave a shot to get healthy again, I feel like Shady playing at his level running behind an awesome blocking and catching halfback would have been a thing of beauty to see.

A Friend: "But the NFC East has 4 teams. Rock, paper, scissors only has 3!"
Me: "Yeah, you're right. Lets just say if the Eagles are rock, the 'Boys are scissors, and the Giants are paper, picking the Redskins is like being an amputee."

Yeah, sorry
I love “Dream” Weaver, too. But he’s never playing another snap in the NFL.

It’s a damn shame; he was a great addition.

Weaver+McCoy+Vick would be a sick rushing offense.

nice
Well deserved. Shady is easily my favorite player on the Eagles and is only going to get better which is scary as hell for opposing defenses to think about. Wish they would have used him a little more in the pro bowl but I’m glad he didn’t get injured
