Eagles to Possibly Sign Free Agent Tight End Evan Moore

Stay connected for news and updates

According to a Philadelphia Eagles team source, the team plans to sign free agent tight end Evan Moore on Thursday if he passes his physical.

Moore was released by the Seattle Seahawks today and cleared waivers. This will help the Eagles because they are in desperate need of a tight end with Brent Celek and Clay Harbor going down in consecutive weeks.

Evan Moore also played for the Cleveland Browns and was released during training camp this summer. He then signed on with the Seahawks on September 3rd and has played in all 14 games this season.

Even though he has played in 14 games this season he has not made an impact. So far, he has one reception for six yards and no touchdowns.

Moore is a big tight end as he is 6 foot 6 and 250 pounds and had his best season as a pro last year with the Browns. He had 34 receptions for 324 receiving yards and four touchdowns.

So far Moore has not made an impact in the NFL but he will definitely see some playing time here with the Philadelphia Eagles.
