Brent Celek is set to miss his first start to injury in his career after picking up a concussion Sunday, which means that 3rd year man Clay Harbor will make his first start at TE.

It's been a rather disappointing year for Harbor, who admits that he expected more snaps this season than he's gotten.

"I probably did expect to get a few more snaps but it all comes down to game plans and what we get from defenses and what happens during the game," said Harbor. "If we get down by a couple of scores early, which tended to happen during this eight game skid and pretty much every game, we stop going to two tight ends, two tight ends [and] one running back sets. We start spreading the ball around to try to move the ball down the field faster."

Whether he likes to admit it or not, Celek's injury is a real opportunity for Harbor to show what he can do.

"Yeah [but] it's unfortunate [Celek got hurt]. You can't really replace Brent Celek. He's a great all around tight end. He blocks well, runs well and catches the ball well. I'm just going to go in there and do the best I can. It's an opportunity for me to get on the field more and get more snaps, and really build confidence in the coaching staff and put some stuff on film there and show them what I can do. I'm going to take it as a good opportunity to get out there and get some good playing time."

Harbor made the most of his increased snaps last week catching 6 passes for 52 yards and a TD. Of course that was against the awful Bucs pass defense, but it was still an encouraging performance. And really, at this point, isn't that all we're looking for? Younger guys getting extra snaps and showing something?
