Todd Herremans is the 3rd starting offensive lineman to go on IR this year.

The Eagles have announced today that RT Todd Herremans has been placed on season ending injured reserve after an MRI revealed torn tendons in his ankle. Herremans suffered the in the first half of the Monday night loss to the Saints.

To take his place on the roster, the Eagles have promoted guard Julian Vandervelde, the teams' 5th round pick in 2011. He was cut prior to this season and spent a few weeks on the Buccaneers practice squad before making his way back to the Eagles.

For Sunday's game against Dallas, the Eagles will shift Demetress Bell back to his more familiar position at LT while moving King Dunlap over to RT, where he has some previous experience. If Danny Watkins can't play, the Eagles would have very limited options in case of more injuries along the line.

Matt Tennent is on the roster as a backup center, Nate Menkins is a UDFA who has yet to dress for a game, but is probably the primary backup at tackle on Sunday and then, there is now Vandervelde, who is the only guy of that trio to have ever played in an NFL game (and that was 1).

DT Frank Trotter was signed the practice squad to fill Vandervelde's spot.
