And he breaks free, Touchdown! We as Eagles fans have heard this almost every game this season. The player usually near the havoc has been *cough* Nnamdi *cough*. Nnamdi Asomugha has sruggled the past couple of years as an Eagle and it has been really disappointing. Lets face it our overrated corner has been exposed because of his lack of speed.
There is a solution. Nnamdi ran a 4.48 at the combine as now approching his mid 30s that time must have dropped-...dramatically. So we should move him to safety and here's why. In college Nnamdi played free safety so he should actually feel more comfortable. He in fact would thrive with that change. Another reason for the change is that it has been done to so many great corners that have lost a step because there age. In Green Bay Charles Woodson was converted to safety and even at linebacker and it has done magic for his career. Another example for this is Ronde Barber. Ronde is actually looking uch better than he really is.
In order for us to do this Curtish Marsh and Brandon Hughes (or one of the safeties) need to step it up. My favorite would be Hughes because of his great ball skills that would make it hard for recievers to muscle him out of the way. If it fails from Hughes we can draft a corner to accompany our needs. So, Eagles fans approve or disapprove. Please give feedback.
