LeSean McCoy has been carted off the field after taking a big hit to the head in the waning moments of the Eagles vs Redskins game Sunday.
McCoy & Redskins safety Madieu Williams both lowered their helmets, resulting in a pretty big collision that McCoy simply never got up from. After a lengthy time sitting on the field, the cart was eventually brought out and a clearly dazed looking LeSean McCoy was taken to the locker room.
While the hit was helmet to helmet, it's hard to say there was anything dirty from Williams. Both players lowered their helmets and shoulders on the play and McCoy was on the end of a run. He was not defenseless and there did not appear to be any ill intent.
Eagles fans will certainly be wondering why their arguably best offensive player was still carrying the ball in the final minutes of a blowout. Head coach Andy Reid confirmed in his postgame press conference that McCoy did suffer a concussion on the play.
In the game McCoy rushed 15 times for 45 yards and caught 6 passes for another 67 yards. The Eagles would go on to lose the game 31-6

It makes no sense for Andy Reid to start Nick Foles over Michael Vick, so the fact that he's forced to could be useful for the Eagles franchise.
