Hello all
I've been reading this page for a long time, and I decided to post for the first time because I've finally found a way to express my frustration with the Eagles. I've been a lifelong Philly sports fan, and I can't remember being at a lower point with any of the other teams. So here's my frustration set to a well-known musical act's hit song. It might be a little awkward in parts, but I did my best.
EVERY PLAY IS EXACTLY THE SAME (Sung to the tune of "Every Day Is Exactly The Same" by Nine Inch Nails)
I believe I could coach the Eagles
I've memorized their whole play scheme
I used to think they'd win a title
But then again, that might've been a dream
I used to get amped up on Sundays
Now I couldn't care much less
I'll just watch it all unfold
For next year
When they start to clean this mess
(CHORUS)
Every play is exactly the same
Every play is exactly the same
Seven-step Vick drops
And no running game
Every play is exactly the same
I can feel apathy rising
Because the Eagles lost again
Sometimes I wanna cheer the 'Skins
But I'm bleeding green in the end
The end of '08 was when it started
And now I can see
The era at its true end
(CHORUS)
I'm making other plans for Sunday
I'm hoping Jeff Lurie sees what I do
Well I'll hold out my hopes
That Reid's left behind
My interest is dying
A coaching change is overdue
I wish they would blow the team up
Fourteen years later
I don't know
I don't know what else Reid could do
(CHORUS)
