First fanpost here, but I needed to do this, because I see a lot of people here who can't get their heads out of the pink cloud.
Michael Vick is not the future, and looks like not even the present. We won't win anything with him. Maybe a couple games, enough to reach the playoffs, but that's it. To do something in the playoff you should play at least consistently good. Michael Vick is not capable of doing that. He had one really good year, but the rest is just average or below .
There is a perspective that no one mentioned here before. We are WASTING our talents (McCoy, Djax,Maclin, Celek) while we are trying to groom Vick into something that he is not. An above average, consistent NFL QB. WE are wasting precious years from the playing careers of our talented offensive players. If we stick with Vick (we are looking at a 8-8, maybe 9-7 record) and eliminated in the first round. But probably this record will be the outcome of the good play of McCoy and the Defense, not Vick's.
There is one and only one reason to not put Foles in. And that's the pathetic O line play. The first thing we should get it together is the O line. Why we should still put Foles in? To see if we need to draft a qb next year or not. If Vicks stays, it's a wasted time for us in my opinion. I love the guy, but i love the Eagles more, he is just not good enough for us, to win the big one. We need to start cutting our losses quick. And that goes to Nnamdi too. Now we can see why he is not playing man-to man, because he can't do it anymore. He is slower, slower to turn, slower on the run. He is still a good CB, but not that good as his paycheck indicates, by far. Same to Vick. You asked the coaches to run more, don`t pass that much, cause Vick can`t do that. Ok. We ran more with Mccoy and let Vick run a bit. We all saw what happened. He can`t pass, he can`t run without his turnovers. So we need to make a decision and move on. Sorry Mike, Nnamdi you guys earn too lot, to play like this crap. See you in Cleveland.. AT BEST!
