I live in Connecticut and finally convinced my parents to bring me to my first Eagles game ever. We were going to meet up with our family from Virginia but they have already cancelled on us because of the storm. I though it would not be a big deal as the forecasts show it making landfall Monday morning, but we just heard that the mayor of Philadelphia is having some sections of the city be evacuated by 2 PM Sunday. I am convinced that they would never postpone an NFL game for weather that's coming the next morning, but my parents are getting worried and think that they would never have people coming into the city for a game while parts of the city are being evacuated; they are threatening to cancel the trip! I have been waiting to be able to go to my first game ever since I started following the Eagles 7 years ago and would be devastated if something were to happen.
I know there are many members of BGN who live in Philly and any information regarding the possibility of the game being postponed (or possibly a change of venue?) would be greatly appreciated.
Here's to hoping that Sandy can render Matty Ice's passing attack useless but that the game does not get cancelled.
