Former Bears OT Chris Williams will be making a 3rd stop on his mid-season free agent tour
The Eagles were the first team to host former Bears OT Chris Williams, but they're not the last. A day after visiting Philadelphia, he headed to Arizona for a meeting with the Cardinals.
His next stop was in San Diego where the Chargers checked him out.
At this point in the season, there's enough turmoil on offensive lines around the league that it's no shock to see Williams in demand. Where is he going to go? Well, that probably comes down to a few things.
Obviously money will be an issue, but so will the opportunity to actually play and where. Williams has played a lot at LG but was a LT in college and many feel that's his most natural position. So if the money is close, maybe a starting job at LT over LG is what sways him?
While there's been no indication of when Williams will make his decision, it makes sense that he'll sign by Monday to be in practice for the following Sunday.
