I was calling for Vicks head after the Cardinals game but I realized some things. A) When MV is back there more often than not there is quick pressure, how would Foles handle this? Certainly he kinda shined in PS but that was against 3rd stringers does anyone truly think he's an upgrade over Vick? B) Shady Mcoy has been slightly above average thus far.... Is his problem Oline not making holes? If so were they making 2 car garage openings the last two years he shined? C) Marty Mornhinweg is next up, has anyone really ever passed the ball and ignored the run so bad with such an ellusive RB? I dont have time to pull up tape on it but two hypothesi I've made to this point. 1. We don't use Shady enough in the screen passing game. 2) When McCoy was a smash hit we used him quite often in screen game. If someone has last couple years worth of tape and time to research, I'd be appreciative. I'm pretty sure we used the big plays downfield Jax-Celek to open the underneath and screen McCoy and Maclin, then bust em in the mouth with dives and off tackle runs..... Granted this is from my blurry BUDWEISER plagued mind, I'm pretty sure you have to take a GOOD HARD LOOK at Marty's play calling and make some adjustments or CAN HIM! I think all the calling for Andy Reid's head is early. I feel make a change in offensive play calling and you'd see a different Eagles team. Our defense is much improved over last year, but they can only carry you so far. In our successful campaign of 2010 we were the big play KINGS. Where did that identity go? What happened to our big play ability>? Our defense is better so now we wanna slug games out in the fourth quarter and raise fans blood pressure? Instead of jumping on teams and scoring points? Alot of question marks out there but I am hoping we didn't lose our big play identity for good maybe just been trying to find it again?
