Bobby April said during the week that we could see DeSean Jackson back as a punt returner in the next week or so.

It looks like that could come today.

Damaris Johnson, the Eagles punt return man this season, is surprisingly inactive today vs. the Detroit Lions. In addition to Johnson, Jamar Chaney, Trent Edwards, Dion Lewis, Steve Vallos, Nate Menkin and Vinny Curry are also inactive.

Chaney being inactive is also somewhat surprising considering he started last week. With Akeem Jordan back, Chaney was on his way back to the bench anyway, but all the way to the inactive list is a surprising move.

On the "not surprised they are the inactive list" list, Dion Lewis will not dress today.
