So I was listening to Mike and Mike this morning and they were going over all of the injuries to different RB's on different teams. I only caught the back end so I'm not sure of everything they said. But they were talking about possible trades. This got me to thinking who would you unload to a needy team and for what type of compensation. We are loaded at DE and RB. Who might benefit from a trade with us.
Our familiar trading partner Arizona can certainly use a RB. They probably need one the most. With Williams and Wells done for the season, an Arizona team that holds the division lead, certainly fits a team with a dire need for a RB. Polk, Brown or the vet Lewis would all be upgrades for them. Would you trade any of our players for picks?
Green Bay will be losing Cedric Benson for at least 8 weeks if not the whole season. Their next best option is Alex Green. A RB two years in, out of Hawaii. That doesn't sound too promising to me. Green Bay doesn't rely on their run game too much but they have in the past at key points. I think either Brown or Polk fits their typical RB. Big physical type runner who will punish defenses for abandoning their base defense in favor of nickel and dime packages. What would you ask for?.
For defensive ends: Jacksonville, Indianapolis, Tennessee and Washington IMO are the teams that could use a starting DE or DE depth. Tapp, Hunt and Graham are all possible trade bait. Who would you trade? What would you want in return? Graham could be our future all pro, would you even consider trading him? Is there any way you would trade Cole? Would you play "Lets Make a Deal"?
