The Eagles have announced that CB Nnamdi Asomugha has been taken to a local hospital after injuring his eye in the first half.
The injury happened on a play where Asomugha jammed Giants WR Ramses Barden and both players had their hands up high. Barden poked Asomugha in the eye and he immediately left the game. After being looked at for several minutes on the sideline he was taken into the locker room. Whatever they saw there is what prompted them to bring him to Wills eye hospital at halftime.
Obviously its safe to say that he won't return tonight, although officially he's listed as doubtful.
3rd year man Brandon Hughes has come into the game as a starter in place of Asomugha.
[Note by JasonB, 09/30/12 10:29 PM EDT ] Nnamdi Asomugha is now back on the Eagles sideline and has his helmet. So it appears as though he may return.
[Note by JasonB, 09/30/12 10:50 PM EDT ] Despite confirming that Nnamdi has been taken to the hospital, the Eagles are now saying he never left the stadium. He'll be coming back into the game. Odd.
