LeSean McCoy, Jason Peters Named To AP All Pro Team

Stay connected for news and updates

The All Pro team is basically the Pro Bowl if conferences were ignored and fans had no say. So, in other words, it's a much high distinction than making the Pro Bowl. The Associated Press named their 2011 All Pro team today and two Eagles made it, Jason Peters and LeSean McCoy. It is the first All Pro honor for each.

McCoy will share the backfield with Maurice Jones-Drew, who led the league in rushing. McCoy, however, led the league in TDs.

"There are so many things I can do better," McCoy said. "I look at the numbers and see so many plays I left on the field, so many yards. I can perfect my game a lot more."

Jason Peters, who is coming off his best season as a pro, is joined on the offensive line by fellow tackle Joe Thomas, Steelers' Maurkice Pouncey at center, and the pair of guards from the Saints Jahri Evans and Carl Nicks. Evan Mathis had a better year than either of those guys... but that's the only other Eagles that I would argue belongs on the All Pro team.

[Note by JasonB, 01/06/12 3:42 PM EST ] Jason Babin has been named a second team All Pro
