Have You Seen This Fire Andy Reid Mobile Billboard?

Someone has apparently purchased a mobile billboard, which is basically a truck that drives around the city with a billboard on it, advocating the firing of Andy Reid. Whoever it was even added some Spanish in there...

Has anyone seen this driving around? I found the picture on the Philadelphia Reddit where the poster says he saw it at 11th & Market. Apparently this could have cost whoever bought it upwards of $2000... which is too bad because it appears to have hit the streets just a day after owner Jeff Lurie announced that Andy Reid would return for next season.

I do appreciate the shout out to Roberto Duran, though

Ha yes!

When I die, I want the Philadelphia Eagles to be the pallbearers at my funeral. So they can let me down, one last time.

I think this is Reid's last year.

Lurie will fire him if he doesn’t win a Super Bowl in ’12.

God Damn you, Andy Reid.

The fat queen has failed us again. Reid must go.

I’d like to think the expectations would be that simple, too, but I don’t think it will be for Lurie. I think he’ll look for something more like this, which Lawlor guesses:

* Win 12 games and/or
* Win the NFC East and/or
* Have a bye in the playoffs and/or
* Advance to the NFC title game

Anything less than that will likely be considered a failure and cost him his job. Backing into a division title at 9-7 and losing in the first round of the playoffs isn’t going to cut it. The Eagles need to get back to being one of the best teams in the league. Period.

This soft team is a reflection of its soft coach.

Can you see this team as it is presently constituted making a respectable showing and a Super Bowl run? Without linebackers? With some of the worst safeties in the NFL?

God Damn you, Andy Reid.

The fat queen has failed us again. Reid must go.

Right now, no, I can’t.

But if Reid does manage to achieve some of those accomplishments above, he may be back for yet another year after 2012.

wait

the safeties aren’t that bad. Safety play in general has been bad across the league, but our guys were put into a new system with no offseason and are particularly young. Nate Allen started to look pretty good by the end of the season, coleman had some good games, and we don’t know yet about Jarrett.

So really our only glaring need is LB. That’s pretty good, when the entire rest of the team is good (in particular our lines). An offseason to address that issue and add some depth, and we should have an extremely solid team.

So, yes. I can see the team next year winning the superbowl. I can see them being a powerhouse, actually.

The team nor the coach is soft.

Eagles: Season, but they'll be back with a vengeance next year. #KeepAndyReid
Flyers: On a nice roll
Phillies: Looking to next year

Honestly that would make sense. If your criteria for keeping a coach is the Super Bowl and only the Super Bowl, you’ve painted yourself into a ridiculously tight corner. That attitude and thinking will set you up for a lifetime of disappointment.

Wouldn’t it be great if Andy got stuck at a light next to that?

Funny but late

Whoever did this is funny but where were they 6 years ago! Actually, where were they a week ago. And I agree with those saying that Reid doesn’t have to win a Super Bowl to stay around next year. NFC East chip appearance would probably be enough.
