Zack Brown should be the next Eagles LB

So, I haven't been contributing as much lately to BGN for a variety of reasons; working a new full time job with a stupid timely commute, my part time job is busiest during December, the Eagles simply weren't inspiring me to spend time on them beyond watching the uber-disappointing games (especially the last 4 that they stupidly won and turned a sure fire top 10 pick into a mid round pick, but I understand the fact that professional athletes can't just throw in the towel, even when it is what is probably best for the organization moving forward) and mostly, I wasn't quite actually sure of what to provide. Unlike others on BGN who will remain unnamed, I only want to post on here if it is worthwhile and contributory, not wasting other people's time or satiating my own vanity by reading my words online. Well, now that the season is over and we are into Draft time, I wanted to add my proverbial 2 cents when it comes to who should be drafted by the Eagles. My thoughts after the jump.

2 words: Zack. Brown. Saw some of his games and was just blown away by how much this guy was in on almost every defensive play. And since I was reading Peter Schrager's mock and saw that he is projecting Zack to the Eagles, I thought I would take a few minutes and use it as motivation to share my thoughts here on BGN. After dropping a straight up "Captain Obvious nugget" on us about the Eagles needing better LB play moving forward, he rebounds with
A 6-foot-2, 240-pound tackling machine, Brown’s a guy who’s seemingly in on every play. Watching a UNC game is like watching a Zach Brown highlight reel. The Eagles could use some of that resourcefulness roaming the middle.
Couldn't agree more. The guy is a freakish athlete who seems to have a natural instinct for finding the ball AND actually being able to make a play once he gets there, unlike some long haried rookie who was drafted mostly because of his last name and older brother AND then was unfairly thrust into a starting position that he was neither physically ready for nor properly coached and trained for. Exhibit A your honor is week 9 vs Wake Forest(courtesy of NFLDraftScout.com). when he was named ACC LB of the week: finished with nine tackles, including 2.5 tackles for loss, an interception, a sack, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. I don't care if it was Wake Forest, that is how you make plays. Want more? ACC 1st team. How about 2011 Elite LB Trophy, presented by College Football Performance Awards? Yup, although honestly I have never heard of this award before this year. I am not a closet College football scout who watches any and every game and follows as many teams and individual players that he can throughout the season, and to be perfectly honest, I have never seen Kuechly play so I won't sit here and say that Brown is better than him, or Burfict (who I have seen play and never saw the jaw dropping talent or ability that others claim he has) or any of the other supposed top LBs that are going to be in the draft this year. All I am saying is that he would be a great addition to our Defense for the next decade. Share your thoughts below BGN, I am curious to see if any one else feels the same way about Mr Brown.
