Nike Reveals New Team Cleats And Gloves
If you haven't heard, Nike will become the NFL's official on field apparel maker starting next season. While the big reveal will be what Nike plans to do with the jerseys, they have been trickling out some teasers for the rest of the uniforms. A few players were tweeting pictures of the new gloves, which form the team logo when a player puts their hands together. See those after the jump.
However, most recently, Nike put out a preview of their Vapor Talon Elite cleats.
Here are the Vapor Jet gloves that will be worn next season.

I don't either
They look teal, not midnight green… We’re not the Jags.
A lot of things make sense now.
we are not the Jags in any way or shape (even tho some posters make it sound like we are just as terrible)

That said, these appear to be just renderings. I’m sure it will match color wise.

Compared to my current midnight green jersey

Im pretty sure
that once they are actually put out in release the colours will match. Its not like Nike is some shitty company or something.

As Jason insinuated
Nike won’t necessarily adopt the exact color hue/scheme Reebok used, meaning the Reebok “midnight green” jersey is not relevant for comparison.

Well, so much for the Kelly Green hopes some of us had.
Oh well.
Clear eyes, full bologna sandwiches!
The Giants, Patriots, and Texans all look way to similar.
Also, it would be cool that when we wear the white jerseys we get cleats kinda like the Jets.

I actually really like UA and all the stuff they do. I think they’ll give Nike a run for the money, eventually.

Nike comes up with some of the worst looking uniforms I've ever seen!
Call me old school, but Nike just doesn’t do it for me. Some of their designs I do like, but for the most part it looks awful to me!
The Oregon Duck uniform for the Rose Bowl was god awful! They do too much with everything. Sometimes things look better with less!
Did Nike have to put their symbol on top of every shoe and make it big and wide so you can’t miss it? The shoes would look better without it.
RIP Jim Johnson, best ever.
"WHY IS THIS PINK-HAIRED BITCH A CAR?!"
Yea, nike has always been about “the brand” its silly to think they would ever do something like that

Is there one of the Cowboys cleats?
For some reason that is the only shoe you can’t tell.

Did the NFL approve the color change for cleats?
It seems like all the players have to wear either predominately black or white cleats. I believe players for the Steelers get fined if they wear yellow cleats.

Who cares about the cleats/gloves
That’s for the players to wear, not everyday you see a fan walking around in cleats/gloves. I’m much more interested to see how the jersey’s turn out. But MOST importantly (to me) I’m really excited to see how the New Era hats turn out! Reebok makes arguably the worst hat on the market. All I hope is that New Era takes the exact shape/form of the MLB on-fields and makes NFL versions.
Looks sweet, but now we’re going to see the glove celebration get overused.

A sad day
Well looks like we are stuck with Midnight Teal for at least one more year. But it’s kinda surprising they are using silver on the cleat instead of black….maybe we will see the return of silver pants.
So does this mean that NFL players are not allowed to wear any other Brand?
I have a bad headache, and its for BASKETBALL REASONS

They should be able to....
In the past, much like basketball, players were aloud to wear whatever cleat they wanted because its a personal thing plus most are sponsored. A couple of years ago that rule transferred over to gloves as well. So most likely the rules will stay the same and players can still wear whatever they want…and now they can seemingly be more colorful without being fined.
It depends, if Nikes contract is for both cleats, jerseys and gloves, the players can not do anything about it (maybe unless they already got a contract to wear a certain brand)

hate to say it but the Cowboys gloves look the best

I wonder if
Nike plans to bring back a little more of the green and grey of the 90’s. Rather than the more recent midnight green and black. I’m not a big fan of the green color on the cleats, but I am intrigued by the green and silver/grey that they show there, rather than them being green and black like I expected.
I'm surprised that nobody mentioned
the Seahawks’ gloves and cleats. And if they wear those awful jerseys with it too, I think I can’t watch them on TV

Question
This may be dumb but from what I see the Eagles logo is the only one facing left (of the animal ones). Is there any reason for this???
Also I have to say while Nike can go overboard sometimes they tend to be less conservative than Reebok, so I’m looking forward to what they come up with.
Are these related to the Dallas merchandise
which are manufactured by children in third world country sweat shops?
Curious that no national media coverage picked up that story…

Does Nike have total control over the jersey designs with no say from the team? I know in other sports that if a team wants to change jerseys then they have the freedom to do so. However, I have also noticed that this has rarely happened in the recent years of the NFL. Is that because Reebok has simply decided against any changes?
Now
If they can only update the helmets now…
