Pick a MLB
Say the Eagles have to draft Luke Kuechly in the 1st round or Vontaze Burfict in the 2nd, who do you want? Why? You can't have both btw.

Kuechley. Burfict strikes me as an oaf. He’s a big, sluggish, out of shape, and seemingly stupid LB who won’t be able to handle the MIKE role. He doesn’t have the instincts to make the right decision or the football IQ to overcome his lack of instincts. He likes to hit people, but he doesn’t tackle. Compare his tackling style to Asante’s, they look exactly the same except Burfict has a little extra weight on him so he’s a tad more effective. But Kuechly by a mile.

Dont forget that he shows up out of shape
And runs around punching teammates.

Kuechly, not even close
I feel like Burfict would thrive in a 3-4 with a real MLB next to him, but with the problems this team has faced at LB, personality and lack of instincts is not what I want now, no matter how much potential he has. We have a horrible tackling team, Kuechly is a superior tackler than most.
Trevor Laws: "Thank Giants for kicking to (Desean)."
Mike Vick: "Why would they kick to Desean?"
Matt Dodge: "Snap too high!"
NJ Eagle: "Fly Eagles Fly!!!"
Depends on what the Eagles do in free agency and what happens to Jackson. If we manage to resign Jackson to a long term deal then I would take Kuechly with the 15th pick but If we have to franchise Jackson and then trade him I would take the best WR or OL then take Burfict in the 2nd.
For some reason I think if the Eagles resign Jackson to a long term deal then the Eagles are going to take Kuechly in the first and Burfict in the 2nd if he is available
Why would we take an OLine in the first?
The only position I could see them takin in the first is LB, WR, S, or De (only if Coples falls to us)

I'm nervous about Watkins
If he doesn’t get better, and considering he’s already ahead of most second year players in age. I’d like the eagles to take a tackle and move herremans to right guard where he can FSU again.
As far as Jackson, I actually think he’ll get resigned. He wants to stay and if he goes than I want Michael Floyd.
Some people think vontaze has dropped to the third round. And it’s not unrealistic that we could actually take both….. Imagine Rolle Burfict and Kuechly. Whether it would be burfict or Kuechly at SAM. That would go from weakness to strength.

I disagree about the OLine
But it’s definately possible to land both of them. I’m also a huge fan of Floyd I hope we draft him if LB is addressed in FA.

Eagles need good depth at the OL position. Watkins really hasn’t proved he can play at guard and Eagles OL tend to get hurt all the time. Eagles really have no quality back ups at the OL position. Our current back ups are average at best. Plus you can never have too many OL especially while trying to protect Vick
You don't take depth in the first
That’s where you address a need. I agree that depth is needed but we don’t need starters tere like other positions.

Kuechly
Its not even the character issues that bother me the most about Burfict, but report after report I’m reading makes me question Burfict’s smarts in general. One report reads he needed Brandon McGee to tell him where to line up and what his assignment was in a play (while they were in the huddle), his penalties come at time most detrimental to his team, word if he would have stayed he would have faced academic issues, instead of hyping up the team he seems to scream and get mad, word is he couldn’t ingest the full defensive playbook, etc. Just thing after thing.
The problem is, everyone wants a fierce LB because they say “That’s what we need”. I don’t believe that. I player can be fierce, but if they don’t play the game right then all that ferociousness goes to waste. We don’t need a fierce LB, we need a productive one. One who knows what his job is and what the job of the players around him is, one who knows how to read his keys and diagnose plays on the go, one who does what they are suppose to do and do it right, one who has command of the huddle by respect and not by just yelling at people, one who can be the leader of the defense, one who the guys can look at and trust that they know he is gonna do the right thing and make sure they do the right thing.
I trust Kuechly with that title.

Burfict is the worst possible fit for this team.
He can’t tackle, he’s an idiot and he’s a locker room cancer. We don’t need a player like home on this defense.
Keuchly on the other hand is the perfect fit for te wide nine. He’s a tackling machine, with great instincts.
