Is he a 4-3 or 3-4

If we lose Desean I would say a WR but if we keep him i love Zach Brown

I like Floyd a lot. And Coples is 4-3 DE. Zach brown is good too.

Coples is a prototypical 4-3 DE. If he falls he might be worth it on value, but we really don’t need to spend another 1st rounder on DE.

Yeah Wagner should be on there

If we miss out on Luke Kuechly he should be our next target for MLB. And I’d really like to see Brian Quick and/or Tommy Streeter on our board. Probably Quick in the mid-2nd and Streeter in the 3rd. If we pass on a WR in the 1st we’ll need one in the 2nd or 3rd. They’re size and strength would be a great asset for our offense, especially in the red zone.

I’d put Coples after Kuechley though. There is a possibility he might be available to us at that point. I know another 1st round DE isn’t ideal but looking realistically, it’s definitely a possibility. Also I notice you don’t have Brockers listed. Once again not an ideal 1st round pick but a realistic one.

Here's my take on the last posted board

I re-arranged it but just as a way to contribute my input, not a “do this or die” type of thing, and I added some later guys. I made a note next to guys I dropped/raised and added

- Robert Griffin (Raised, in a magic world he wins us our super bowl)
- Justin Blackmon
- Luke Kuechly
- Michael Floyd (Raised, dude is a beast. At this moment, WR is a big need for us)
- Devon Still (Raised, another best. Would help our run D and terrorize QBs)
- Kendall Wright (Raised, being compared to Carolina’s Steve Smith, the good one. Perfect DeSean replacement)
- Janoris Jenkins
- Mark Barron
- Alshon Jeffery
- Donta Hightower (Raised, powerful run defender with pass rush ability. He can cover but not particularly well. We should probably pass on him unless he’s around in the 2nd)
Zach Brown (Dropped, he didn’t have a stand-out season or week of practice in the senior bowl. He’s a workout warrior but I think we can find similar skills in the later rounds)
- Mohammud Sanu
- Dwight Jones
- Brian Quick (Added, Stud. Watch this. He can run all the routes, is strong, isn’t a burner but can get up there, great hands, vision, and moves. I love this guy.)
- Lavonte David(Raised, he’s really a will linebacker so I don’t know if we want to spend a 2nd on a possible back-up, but he’s got great talent so he’s worth a look)
- Nick Toon
- Bobby Wagner (Raised, if we don’t get Luke Kuechly this is our next target at MLB. Extremely productive tackler, not tall but stout, strong. He’ll hit some running backs.)
- Brandon Boykin (Raised, kid has been on fire since the UGA/Mich St bowl game. He’s been excellent during the senior bowl and he’s probably going to record excellent numbers at the combine. He’s shooting up boards and for a good reason.)
- Brandon Thompson
- Jared Crick (Raised, he was a first one prospect before the injury. He could move all over our d-line and Wash would love him. If he heals ok he’d be a beast for us)
- Merkelle Martin (Added, 2nd best safety in the draft. If we got him we could move Nate to SS)
- Cam Johnson (Raised, after the past week he’s a 2nd round pick no question. Drawing comparisons to Trent Cole by Tommy Lawlor. A healthy Graham and Cam could be fierce-some, plus they rhyme….)
- Audio Cole (Dropped, this is our 3rd target at MLB. I really only dropped him because other guys below him provided higher value)
- Tommy Streeter (Added, Raw but with undeniable talent. If we don’t get a WR before the 3rd would should take a hard look at Streeter. 6’5 and fast. Tempting prospect.)
- Ryan Steed (Added, the CB from Furman is getting a lot of attention. High character, fast, strong, great in press coverage. Might fit as the nickel or could develop into a replacement for DRC if he’s let go after this season)
- Brock Osewiier (Added, I don’t think Andy will use a pick on a young QB. If he’s going to develop a QB for a team, it won’t be the Eagles. If Vick has another questionable season there’s a good chance they’ll both be gone, they’re tied together now. But we’re not Andy, so let’s get a guy with giant potential)
- Brandon Weeden (Added, this guy is OLD! But seriously, very talented and a good fit for our system. He’d be the back-up for now so age isn’t really a factor)
- George Iloka
- Coryell Judie (Added, can come in and play nickel corner)
- Vontaze Burfict (Dropped, I don’t even think he should be on our board but I know he’s going to be. We do not have the staff to develop/control him and he’ll be a locker room cancer.)
- Keenan Robinson
- Sean Spence (Dropped, he’s a great athlete but he’s too small to be a MLB at the next level. He’d be competiton for Rolle but that’s all. Unless he falls to the 4th or something, I think we should pass)
- Ronnell Lewis (Dropped, he’s got some talent but he’s classic tweener. Andy has tried with tweeners in the past and they never work out. I really think he’s a much better fit for a 3-4, unless we plan to keep him at DE)
- Joe Adams (Raised, another guy who will move up after this week and the combine. He’s an explosive receiver and returner. If don’t get a guy who can return in the first 3 rounds we should take a look at him if he’s available.)
- Isiah Pead (Raised, this kid is shooting up draft boards and tearing up the pre-draft process.)
- LaMichael James
- Nigel Bradham (Dropped, Good athlete but needs to work on fundamentals and consistency)
- Marcus Forston (Added, DT from Miami could provide depth)
- Brandon Taylor
- Casey Heyward (Added, electric corner. Ballhawk who can change momentum)
- Ladarius Green
- Andrew Datko (Added, as others have mentioned low-risk high-upside with our second 4th round pick or 5th rounder)
- Jake Bequette (Added, the Arkansas DE has gotten a lot of attention from Eagle scouts. Very good end, powerful)
- Cliff Harris (Dropped, outside of the character concerns, I don’t think he has the drive to push himself to improve to overcome his size deficiencies at the next level.)
- Garth Gerhart (Added, ASU G/C who has quickness and likes to get physical. Good run blocker and even better in pass protection. He could be a back-up for whole interior line)
- Lucas Nix
- Levy Adcock (Added, could be our back-up RT if Winston and King both leave)
- Lonnie Edwards (Added, guard from Texas Tech who could provide depth. Good in pass protection which is most of what he did at Texas Tech and a powerful run blocker)
- Tank Carder (Added, athletically talented and smart linebacker. He didn’t have as good a season as many hoped this year but he’s still got potential. Could make a nice back-up at multiple LB spots and develop into a starter)
- Russel Wilson (Dropped, I hate to be a buzz-kill but Wilson is very unlikely to find success in the NFL. He’s Seneca Wallace, would you want to spend a draft pick on Seneca Wallace? If he’s there in the 5th maybe we use a pick on him.)
- Mike Martin (Added, Michigan DT who could provide depth. Did a pretty good job at senior bowl practice this week)

Ok, that should do…..for now. Psyched to see d-jack’s input and please let me know what you think about this. It’s ok if you think I did something retarded, discussion are fun!

Dude’s probably an early second round pick at this point man. He might move up after the combine.

I like Quick enough to agree he should be on our board, but he was routinely chased down by linebackers in that video. Makes me nervous.

He’s not going to run a good combine time, but he’s a possession receiver anyways. I think his ability to break tackles and juke defenders will help him get yards after the catch. And as far being tackled by linebackers in the video, it’s a highlight clip so it doesn’t show the play develop, if he’s being hit by linebackers on an intermediate root when he’s in their zone I don’t think that really takes away from him. I need to see the freaking senior bowl so I can see how he matched up their.

Zach Brown

Most of what you said I like but I think your way off on Brown. I’ve watched him play multiple times at UNC and he can flat out play. People say he isnt a great tackler but nothing I’ve seen has shown me that. He also is crazy good at covering TEs and with more and more athletic TEs in the league thats huge as a LB. That jacobs play the first time we played the giants would have been a pick had Brown been covering. I think if we can get him and a WR in the first round or so we would have done great.

I think he’s a low 1st/high 2nd round guy. He did play pretty well in the senior bowl, but I think their will be better players available with our 1st round pick. If he’s around for our 2nd I’d be down.

If Kuechly is there its a easy pick we all agree on that but if hes gone then I would say Brown is our best bet we need a LB and not some third or fourth rounder but a first rounder. Brown can play OLB move Chaney to middle or hopefully sign someone and then keep Rolle. DE isnt a need and unless Still falls to 15 I think Brown is our best bet.

heres who you have over him after Luke

- Michael Floyd- WR isnt as much a need as LB and their are much more WRs in the second that are close to him.
- Devon Still- I like Still a lot but we have DTs that are startable
- Kendall Wright- Love Wright but hes not even BPA compared to Brown.
- Janoris Jenkins- 2 CBs already no way in the first over Brown.
- Mark Barron- Ive seen him lasting till mid second.
- Alshon Jeffery- I like him a lot but not at 15 too early.
- Donta Hightower- 3-4 ILB not a good fit iMO.

Maybe Still over Brown but otherwise I think we need to address the LB in the first (unless we trade up for Blackmon)
