Andy Reid has time for Cleveland, but not Philadelphia
Brad Childress gets hired as OC of the Browns and Andy Reid has plenty of time to talk to Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer. Maybe he's scared of Les Bowen.

It’s not so much a cheap shot. It’s more that he doesn’t have answers for some of the questions he’d undoubtedly get from Philly media.

I actually think it’s a fair shot though. If you’re going to go media silent, then do it.

Agree. Very weak to talk to Cleveland but not Philly. I get that he might want to talk up his friends, but you just have to skip it if you’re not even communicating with your own fan base.
I disagree
If Juan was definitely coming back for another year, I think he would’ve came out already and said it. Why let all this speculation continue? We all know he was trying to go after Spags. He might now be going after a guy on one of the SB teams or another guy altogether. And if that’s the case, you’re better off not addressing it until everything is in place. Hell, maybe he’s just waiting until they get their DB coach in place. Then he can announce “Juan more year” along with the hiring of the DB coach. It wouldn’t be smart to come out and say Juan’s coming back if that actually isn’t the case. (We all know he jumped the gun with McDermott at the time)
The only thing I agree with is that maybe it’s not a good idea to address other teams when you won’t address your own. But Chilly is his BFF. I’m sure he got bombarded with texts/emails/calls trying to get his opinion on the hiring. And the whole “Sixers interview” is a non-story considering he was minding his own business at the game when he got approached by a Sixers employee.
I don’t think it’s a big deal. People need to trust the process and let him do what he’s going to do. He’ll come out and talk soon enough.
When is soon enough though? It’s been a month. That’s not normal.

It’s not normal. But if the coaching staff isn’t settled, what do you want him to do? Field a presser with the Philly media and tell you that Juan is coming back, then hire a new DC a week later?
I think he learned his lesson with that one a couple years ago with McDermott. I just think it’s safe to assume that he’s trying to improve/settle his coaching staff and until it’s settled, it’d only be counter-productive to speak.
Btw, I also think it’s taken a month because Spags took so long to make his decision. (Rightfully so). If he would’ve picked the Eagles over the Saints this would all be settled.
Even if he did comment
Would you believe a single word he says? How many times now has he gone and done a postseason press conference and then immediately gone and done the opposite? Donovan McNabb is my QB, McDermont will be back, etc. While it is pretty annoying that he hasn’t said anything yet I would rather he just went out and did what he is gonna do if anything then tell us about it.
