I'll watch the Super Bowl

The NY Giants vs. the NE Patriots. I can muster little more than zero excitement for the outcome. It doesn't matter to me who wins and I'd love to see both of them lose, if that were possible. Sure, this could be an excellent game. One defense playing well lately, with a steady offense (as much as I hate to, I'll give it up to Eli) vs. a high-powered offense with a lame defense. A recent SB rematch. Brady tying Montana's rings. Eli surpassing Payton's one ring. I know there are more sub-plots, but I'm just not feeling it. If the game is close in the last two minutes, that's all I need to see. 1st and goal in a tie game with 4 minutes left? I can take a pee, make a sandwich/grab some wings and still see which team loses. Yes, I will have the game on. Yeah, I'll know the score. But, I won't care. Go ahead and jump up and down in front of the TV when your team scores or gets beat on a play. Give me your analysis of the last set of downs and why such and such was a bad call or a great play or the refs blew it. But when the commercials come on, sit down and shut up. Because when it comes right down to it, they're spending 7 million dollars a minute to try to convince me to use a different deodorant. Good luck with that, but at least I know, going into it, who's gonna win that battle.

I know when I’m typing I just hit ‘enter’ or ‘return’ to start a new paragraph like you would in any word processing program. Are you typing it as multiple paragraphs and then it posts as on block of text anyway?

I type it in an email and then copy/paste. That lets me correcy my spelling and whatnot.
I guess the copy/paste thing loses it in translation.

Try typing it in a Word document (or Open Office if you have that instead). That always works for me.

the most excitement ill get is from the commercials. I don’t particularly care who wins either, but ill be “routing” for the Giants for two reasons: I hate the Patriots more, and the Giants are my grandfather’s favorite team….so i’ll be in the Giants corner for my grandfather

I’m going to Disney World with my wife and daughter next weekend. It’s a good matchup to get away from (and besides, park’s less crowded because of the game)

The Giants are the hated rival here though so I will root for the Pats. I’m surprised most Eagle fans wouldn’t root for the Pats. If you live in Jersey or PA you root for the PATS just so you dont have to hear any dumb ass Giant fans spoutin off.

I'll watch any game on TV

But i can’t pull for a disional rival.
And I just can’t get into the Pats winning it.
Remember “Joe Cool” Flacco came into the league as a third stringer. First one went on IR. Second one went down with the flu prior to week one.. Give the ball to Joe., and the rest is history. When both Harbough teams lost last wkend, I lost all interest in the game.

and they asked who was winning the AFC & NFC championship games. I said because the Eagles aren’t in it I really dont give a shit. I got lambasted for it.

This nonsense that goes back and forth is ridiculous..Whoever wins the NFC East should be rooted for..Our division has been becoming a laughing stock..Throw out the rivalry and hate..and root for the Giants to keep the trophy where it belongs..Every team in our dicision had a chance..But you never root against the NFC East, ever..At the beginning of the season I actually thought your team was going to do it..but they didn’t..Shit happens..I would have rooted for the Eagles if things were different..

No, you wouldn’t have. Its easy to say that when you’re the one going to the Superbowl. I don’t believe you for a second, and I can’t imagine that you honestly believe that yourself. Nothing personal, but you don’t root for your rivals unless they’re playing a bigger rival.

Get off your high horse. There’s a difference between respecting teams and rooting for them. I respect the Giants, and I acknowledged that they’re a different team than we saw during the regular season, but there’s no way I’d root for them, and you can’t earnestly root for the Eagles either. That’s life as a fan.

The difference here is that you’d be hard-pressed to find an Eagles fan who says they’re willing to root for the Giants, Cowboys, or Redskins unless they’re playing one another. All fans trash talk each other, but they don’t say they’d root for their rivals.

Also the whole “I didn’t falsely accuse you of anything” doesn’t jive well with this…

Oh and I know alot of those were not mine..

There’s a difference betwen saying “I simply don’t remember them” and “I know those weren’t mine.”
