The Eagle's chance to draft the next Drew Brees
As an Eagles fan for life, I thought I would post our best chance to get the new QB of the future... Kellen Moore from Boise State University. I know, I know, we have heard all the negatives about his arm strength and his size, but I have been watching him for 4 years now and the guy's as smart and accurate of a QB that I have ever seen. I have seen his true arm strength and for any of you doubters, take a look at these links. Yeah, he's a lefty, but so is Vick to the best of my recollection... We r already set up for it!! He played in a pro-style offense at Boise State which means we won't need to acclimate him too much to the west coast system. We need to take a small chance for the big reward in the end, plus his ability to pick apart defenses and study film will make Vick that much better. Leave me some comments to see what you guys think.

Kellen Moore blows. He has a funky, elongated release where he has to wind up for anything deep and outside the hashes. He has a 3/4 release point which would be alright if he wasn’t 5’11". He has the athletic skill set of a kicker. He has a pop-gun arm. He lacks the physical or athletic ability to find any success in the NFL, he should become a coach now. And he is not even close to Drew Brees. Not. Even. Close. Super overrated.

I agree with you on Moore
He’s shown nothing at the college level to support your findings. He’s a good college QB, but he will not make it in the NFL. Brees is a better athlete and just an all around better QB, now and at the college level.
How’d I know before I even clicked on this it was about Kellen Moore?

Drew Brees was a second round pick. He didn’t have the kind of flaws in his game people say Moore does. Moore is projected as a 5th/6th round guy at best.
I would say he’s more Koy Detmer than Drew Brees.

Well then we have to sign him
if he can bring the neck beard back to Philly.

We would
be much better with taking a chance on Kirk Cousins, Kellen Moore will make a 1 year splash and then wash up. Not the future of the Eagles. Hell I would even take another Houston prospect in Keenum over Moore and dont you think anyone can throw 500 yds on Hawii, ?? Now if he did that on any SEC or Big Ten school then I would be impressed.,
I'd rather go with Russel Wilson from Wisconsin
If we’re going to take a flier on a guy I’d take my chances with Wilson from Wisconsin. He’s about the size of Brees and has a good arm and is accurate in the pocket and on the move.
Lets trade up and get Luck????

oh
I disagree with that completely, I think l Luck will be a bust and RG III will have the better career
Just curious, why do you think Luck will be a bust?
I don’t disagree about RGIII, but just he may turn out to be great doesn’t mean Luck won’t also.
Clear eyes, full bologna sandwiches!
there is just something
that I feel he will not live up to it. Yes he has done real well through out his college career but I feel this is going to end up being like a David Carr story (if Peyton leaves) but not as bad as say Ryan Leaf. Just something from what I have seen in his play. I really dont think he will be a great QB in the NFL. Just my opinion is all based off what I have seen from him.
He can make all the throws and has mobility... He's no Carr

Well to David Carr's defense
By the time Carr’s 3rd year rolled around, Carr had been traumatized by a FO that seemed to believe protecting the QB came second and he was sacked I think something near 130 times at the end of his 3rd year. Which we now refer to as the David Carr Syndrome.

LOL Sarcasm bro...
Honestly I think based upon the Eagles past and what our teams built for that RG III would be the best fit for us..
RG III’s skill set is very similar to Vick’s and there’s no doubt that Vick’s abilities open up bigger opportunities for this offense…. That being said, I think Luck is just as special.

I just dont feel it, RG III he is a better passer then Vick is right now and would easily be the better fit for our team. I say with the hype that is coming with Luck though may be to much. I mean the best prospect in 20 years they are calling him. There have been alot of great QB’s in the last 20 yrs and I just cant see him living up to that. And this could all very depending on where he goes. But completely agree RG is would be the better for us
Honestly bro.
Luck has the physical tools of Peyton Manning, the intelligence of Tom Brady along with the mobility of Aaron Rodgers… He deserves the hype.
We wouldn’t go wrong with either player honestly, but I think RG III brings more to the table for our system than somebody like Luck.

The Chargers drafted Drew Brees but he wasn’t passing all over the place in San Diego. What they got was a small QB from Purdue with a huge injury. New Orleans picked him up and that’s where he really became DREW BREES.

he had the talent was up and down but Peyton helped him grow
At least one more year of Andy and Juan. If they don't win it all they both better be gone!
No way Eagles draft a LB in the first round 2012.
We will see if Spags was in the right place at the right time in the Gmens SB run. Or was that the fluke year and he really is just mediocre.

Speaking of the QB situation
If the Eagles let Vince Young go, what do you think about bringing in David Garrard as the backup?
Also, would you consider drafting Brock Osweiler from Arizona State if he was available in the second round? He’s very raw, but you’d have time to let him develop on the bench.

I don't watch much college football, so I don really have the ability to make an assessment on the ASU QB
The scouting report I read online seemed like he was a decent prospect. It said his accuracy was pretty good and he had good mobility/athleticism for a guy his size. His experience was a big question mark along with his tendency to lock onto receivers.
I’m not arguing with you, I just want to know what you’ve seen that makes you want to steer clear of him.

Moore will fall because of the measureables
But he was an excellent and experienced college QB. I’d have no problem using a fourth on him.
