Oh, and what happened to every year before 2004? What happened to 2005, 2005 and 2009? Get out of here with this stupid crap.

Logic bomb
You only play out of conference opponents once every 4 years so 2004-2008-2012 for the Eagles vs. AFC North and then 2007-2011-2015 for the Giants vs. AFC East. Thats why there is no data for 2005, 2006, 2009,2010, etc. Also it wouldn’t of been possible for this trend to exist before 2004. That year the league redistricted the divisions so there were 8 divisions of 4 teams each. Before they did this not every division played each other inter-conference division on a regular 4 year pattern. 2004 was the first year the eagles played the steelers in the current NFL schedule format, and 2007 was only the second time the Giants and Pats had faced off since the current format.
Not saying that there is a serious trend to predict anything since I think that it’ll be tough for the eagles to win the division, much less go to the SB. Just know your basic football rules before dismissing something cool like this cause every trend and oddity has to start sometime.
Boom. logic’d
There is no trend, this is a silly coincidence. Simple as that.

Seriously, if we win the superbowl next year (which I highly doubt), it’ll be because we’re a good team, not because of some dumbass, irrelevant “pattern” that you found.

Easy does it. I’m sure he didn’t mean to point to this as anything serious…probably just throwing out a trend he found.

How can any of you argue with a pattern? Clearly we see some evidence of a causal relation here.
