Conference Title Game Prediction Time
I think it's fairly obvious what we're all hoping to see happen today... We always root against the Giants and certainly we've got no love lost for the Patriots either. But putting aside our hopes for today, what does the Eagles community really think will happen today?
Let us know how you think today will play out in the comments and vote in our poll about who you think will be the two teams standing when it's all over.

I've never wanted to be so wrong before
Picking Pats Giants hoping Niners Ravens with Ravens winning it all
I want to believe the Ravens and 49ers can get it done. But Baltimore’s secondary is awful, and I have a feeling Handsome Tom is going to carve it up, and I just don’t trust Alex Smith or Joe Flacco. On the bright side, if it comes down to Giants vs Patriots, I believe Belichick has never lost to the same team twice in one season, so we won’t have to watch Eli win a second Super Bowl.
49ers/Ravens
Fuck the Giants and Patriots. Last thing I need to hear is either of those two teams get more credit than they deserve.
RIP Jim Johnson, best ever.
"WHY IS THIS PINK-HAIRED BITCH A CAR?!"
I for one am ready to see ESPN try to hype Joe Flacco vs. Alex Smirth and I’m really not ready for two weeks of either Eli/Brady the rematch coverage. Although two weeks of, hey did you guys know the harbough’s are brothers? coverage could be just as bad.
Jim and John Harbaugh are brothers?
I thought they were sisters.
RIP Jim Johnson, best ever.
"WHY IS THIS PINK-HAIRED BITCH A CAR?!"
If it comes down to the Giants and Pats, I’ll do what I did a few years ago, and root for the giant comet crashing down to Earth to hit the stadium. :)

Just saw that Peyton thing. Apparently Miami wants him too, more than Flynn. Where are you hearing about Marty being gone? I was still under the impression that Winston Moss was going to be the guy.

Interesting observation from Schefter:
Might mean nothing today. But Patriots haven’t won a game this season against a team with a winning record. Ravens won six.
Pretty incredible. Then again, outside of the Pats, there were only 4 other teams with more than 8 wins in the AFC.

I want to see Niners/Ravens and than the Ravens kill San Fran in the super bowl. Their bandwagon got huge the second the Packers got knocked out.

New England vs. San Francisco
New York has a trend that is working against them since they have defeated Green Bay. Playoff teams that have defeated the defending Superbowl champion in the previous round get eliminated in the next round.
2005 Superbowl: New England defeats Philadelphia
2006 Playoffs: New England loses to Denver in the Divisional Round
Denver loses to Pittsburg in AFC championship game
2007 Superbowl: NY Giants defeat New England
2008 Playoffs: NY Giants lose to Philadelphia in Divisional Round
Philadelphia loses to Arizona in NFC championship game
2009 Superbowl: New Orleans defeats Indianapolis
2010 Playoffs: New Orleans lose in Seattle in Wild-Card Round
Seattle then loses to Chicago in the Divisional Round
As impressive as New York’s run at the end of the season and into the playoffs, I think this trend with San Francisco’s home field advantage will do in New York.
Baltimore during the regular season on the road only defeated two teams that were in the playoffs this year: Pittsburg and Cinninati. Despite the fact that they did defeat more teams with winning records, (6 to be exact) four of those wins were at home. Facing New England at home and defeating will be a task for them.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Harbaugh Bowl (again)
Because the NFL would LOVE that story and it would boost ratings. A close second, I would say, is NE vs. Ginas because the rematch would also draw good ratings. ITS ALL FIXED!!!!
Sarcasm aside...
I honestly do think it will be 49ers and Ravens. There was some stat I heard, I think on Mike & Mike, that there hasn’t ever been a Superbowl team with one side of the ball (offense or defense) that has been ranked worse than 20-something (want to say 25th), and those two are the only ones that fit that match. Makes sense though, because you need to have balance and any weak side of the ball is exposed by a better team with balance.
GO GIANTS

49ers/Ravens
I hate the Giants, and maybe just as much as any other NFC East team I hate the Patriots.

Wow
According to that poll, the Ravens chances of winning drop dramatically if the Giants beat the 49ers; I’m guessing there must be some kind of rule stripping the Ravs of their win to make a repeat of 07, right?
Niners beat Pats
The only scenario I like . F Brady , F Sheli , F Flunko
It's never easy being an Eagle fan........but I'll be damned if I ever stop.
Sign Spags Now !!!
I think Pats beat Ravens. And I think Ray Lewis and Ed Reed retire this offseason. They give so much and to get so close and lose, I think they call it quits.
I picked SanFran to win it all in the pool. And I am sticking with that…..

i know that this will sound ridiculous but anyone but the ravens. i live in northern md and it’s split between eagles and ravens fans. it’s a big rivalry around here and i don’t feel like hearing all of the obnoxious ravens fans gloating about ANOTHER Super bowl. i would be hearing shit till next years super bowl. this season has been bad enough with the dream team jokes and if i see one more ravens fan flip over a cigarette celaphane and call it the eagles super bowl case, i might just lose it! literally, i’ve heard that joke about 100,000 times in the last decade and they still tell it like they just came up with it yesterday.
P.S. response to said joke is showing them their super bowl case by sticking celaphane on middle finger and telling them where to stick it
Fuck the Giants
Normally, I try to keep profanity down to a minimum when posting, but seriously, fuck the Giants. Fuck all those assholes that I just seen at the liquor store with their Tuck and Umenyiora and Jacobs jerseys, their protruding guts warping the numbers on the front.
Fuck the bar down the street that gives a free round after the Giants score their 1st TD, fuck my neighbor with his Giants mailbox cover and his Giant garage door banner and his stupid Giants throwback jersey.
Fuck all the smug New York transplant families down here in central Jersey at Shoprite pushing shopping carts containing their little Giant-jersey-wearing bastard kids in the front part where they can pretend to steer. These skanky, overly-made-up, over-dressed NY mom bitches with their hair dyed jet-black and clad in pink Giants 00 jerseys who can’t just apply a touch of perfume, but find it necessary to marinade in it, standing in the middle of an isle while carrying on a loud conversation with another NY transplant bitch, totally oblivious to the fact that they are blocking the isle for the other customers, and no matter how polite you say “excuse me”, you are met with an attitude.
Just fuck them all.

I thought I was alone, thank you my man!
BTW fuck all you dickheads from PA that that root for any NY team. I hate when people wear a fucking yankees hat because it’s the style, fuck that I’ll were my Philly’s cap forever!
I hate you idiots from here trying to pretend to be these fucking ny transplants that my man captain is talking about!
All you have to ask is...
What superbowl matchup would piss us off the most?
With that in mind, it’s going to be Giants vs. Patriots
I can understand everyone's frustration over the Giants....
Next thing is which Conference are u….NFC or AFC ? I’ve been with NFC, forever, and want the Lombardi staying in the NFC. I also like the division NFC EAST to once again be the most dominating division in the NFL. I remember St. Louis Cardinals were the 5th team in our division, a time when all the defenses had to be reckon with outside of the division.
