Jamar Chaney Undergoes Surgery On Neck
The Eagles announced today that Jamar Chaney has undergone surgery to repair a herniated disk in his neck. Chaney sustained the injury in the season finale against the Redskins.
The surgery, which was performed in Charlotte, North Carolina, was deemed a success (they always are).
Chaney started all of last season at various linebacker spots. He'll certainly be in the mix next year, but we can only hope he'll have some new competition.

Cornelius Ingram begs to differ.

Well that’s the point. I guarantee that Ingram’s surgeries were all deemed a success at the time…

Even if he does come back healthy, I don’t think he’s good enough to be a starter. Special teams, backup WLB.

Chaney will have some competition this year.
But I don’t MLB will be in the cards for him this season. He has a good shot to start at the SAM.

Talk about making our weakest position even worse! He was the best of the mediocre corps that we had, and he sure wasn’t great by any measure.
I wouldn’t complain if the Eagles used a couple early picks on linebackers and picked up someone as a FA at the same time. Might as well clean out the trash and keep what’s best for special teams, with Colt Anderson probably not being back to 100% until at least mid next year.

People keep talking about how weak this guy is and how how he isnt a good startin MLB. STFU yes he is.. he will be a future pro bowl player..you can bet on that.

7th grade pick..played well his rookie year..was going to be a big improvement in our line backing core the following year..but it is kinda hard when the scheme was so bone head..and the linebacking corps was soft..casey matthews was a joke. just wait though..you really cant see jamar chaney being a very good linebacker in the years to come? hes young, give him time to grow. jeremiah trotter didnt start ballin it till his 3rd season. trotter sees probowl potential in chaney, he really does they are good friends as well.
