Steve Spagnuolo Candidate For Saints, Falcons, Vikings Jobs
Steve Spagnuolo is becoming very much in demand around the NFL. If Andy Reid wants him, he'll have competition to close the deal.

Exactly what I was afraid of
I fear that if Reid is forced into a bidding war, he’ll just back off and say “We’re going with Juan.” I don’t think the Eagles are really big on chasing coaches, especially since Reid has the excuse that Juan “got better down the stretch.”

Prediction: the 3-4 will be out of style in two years.
So no, I will not shut up about stupidity.

It’ll be another 8-8 season. Sigh.

Don't get overconfident
We did that this year and we got crushed. If Vick regresses anymore we’re done. We’re going to need a good draft to stand a chance. We need at least 3 more starters on defense, maybe more if Patt needs time to recover from surgery for the AVM.

Well if the saints are going after spagnuola, then that means they won’t be resigning Gregg Williams. I wouldn’t be mad at having him.

Williams will most likely join Jeff Fisher

I see no way they can bring juan back as the DC. There is no way they could sell the fans on this move.
I hear what you're saying, however...
I could see Reid affronting the fans by keeping Juan and making his final stand next year… we’re talking about a guy who traded Dawkins a year early… he cares not about the opinions of his fanbase.

He never traded Dawkins
Dawkins left because he wanted the money. We gave him a deal.

I'd be sold on it
How about we just pick a guy and stick with him? Instead of constantly changing schemes lets just stick with somebody. I don’t think Juan was the one most responsible for this bad defense; the young guys weren’t getting it done early on, and they improved as the season progressed. Juan got a little better too, but he was doing okay the whole time. It was the players who improved.

Well not traded... but moved on a year early

Jeff wants to sell tickets. If Andy announces Juan is coming back, there isn’t going to be a lot of enthusiasm coming into next season. I’m sure that Jeff wants that big name coordinator to get the Eagles relevant again.
Its important to remember that we’ve seen Steve’s defenses hold up in the playoffs, albeit for only one year. Its amazing to see these “elite” teams collapse against supposedly lesser competition. If we go after a coordinator, we need a guy that is extremely skilled with adjustments going late into the year.
some of you are so bad
With your knowledge of the term it disgusts me. u are obviously a bandwagon fan or a straight rere. how the hell can a player leave a year early without being released? Dawk was a free agent and left for more money. Remember that this is a business not only for organizations but for players as well. so before u comment bashing the eagles brass again make sure u have your facts straight or just don’t post.
