The Linc - Eagles Name Team MVPs

Eagles Name Three MVPs
Eagles players voted LeSean McCoy, Jason Babin & Colt Anderson as their team MVPs.

Eagles silent on coaching changes | Philadelphia Inquirer | 01/11/2012
Adding to the intrigue is Reid's silence. The coach won't meet with the media until he has finished assessing his staff and presumably making changes. Some have interpreted the delay in his press conference as not boding well for Castillo, but it's difficult at this point to get a read either way.

Watkins quietly performed well as rookie
Danny Watkins kept a low profile once re-earning a starting spot and played well. Well enough for us not to notice.

Ed Rendell: Wondering what might have been | Philadelphia Daily News | 01/08/2012
The great poet John Greenleaf Whittier once wrote, "For all the sad words of tongue and pen, the saddest are these, 'It might have been.' " He probably had no idea that his insightful words would be used most often to describe a sports team's failed season. The 2011 Eagles' season is perhaps the perfect example of what "might have been."

Iggles Blitz " Blog Archive " Benedict Grigson Goes To Colts
Howie Roseman has a challenge. Grigson’s title was Director of Player Personnel, but really he was the College Scouting Director. That meant that Grigson was a scout, but also an administrator. He scouted players himself, but also had to help compile information from other scouts and then make sense of it.

Watkins kinda screwed himself and the team by coming in like two weeks late to training camp. If he started playing in the Bills game, and if you don’t count that game, then the Eagles were 7-4 after his first game and 1-4 prior to that (not that there’s any direct relation between an offensive guard playing and wins). There were so many issues on the Eagles earlier on, and having DeVan in there was probably a part of that, maybe the line settled down once Watkins got some experience and that helped our offense in general. But I agree with the article, we didn’t hear much about Watkins during the season, which is probably a good thing. Hopefully he settles down even more and can build on his first year, you can only see him improving from this point forward. Although he’s 27 or whatever, he is still a rookie, and to stay in the starting lineup for most of the season and getting better is a great start. I’m not down on the guy at all, he has a lot of room for improvement, and might make a big jump after a full off-season of being with the coaches and going through all the ota’s, mini-camps etc.

I'm all-in for the 2012 season !

Colt Anderson = Tim Hauck?

Bastard just needs to injure one of my star players to be the spitting image of that animal Tim Hauck.

Still gives me nightmares, 88 on the field to the cheers of your blood thirsty fans…

Ok maybe with a hair cut…

Thoughts?

Dwight Howard is coming to Philly. Maybe. Probably not. But we can at least hope, that's all we have.

colt gets it done- i really hope his injury doesn’t effect him to much come next season- dude really deserves to be on this team- he plays hard and our special teams did not look the same without him.

also fits the quota for white dudes with sweet locks, every team needs a few of them.

I think Kuechly would be perfect for us he’s exactly the kind of LB we need. But watching some film on Burict he does remind me of Trotter.

Trotter was more disaplined

and didn’t hurt the team with personal fouls like Burfict certainly will.

Funny to think younger fans don’t even know about Ray’s past. They just see the intense but lovable HoF level LB

by TheAL76 on Jan 12, 2012 9:57 AM EST up reply actions

maybe im just a meat head

But don’t you want YOUR TEAMS middle lb to be a complete and total beast who trust to hurt people? Our defense needs a nasty sob in the middle. I really don’t know who is the best lb but all the burfict hate and kluechly love is getting annoying.

by VRFC8 on Jan 12, 2012 1:55 PM EST via mobile reply actions

I don’t hate burfict I just hate that people want to take him in the mid to early 1st which is flat out stupid at this point

When that leads to him getting suspended and giving the other team 15 yards and 1st down twice a game…. Nah, I’ll pass.

Yeah, because that is the only thing that Burfict does wrong. Please, just stop.
