Defensive Cordinator and other views.

It has been reported that the Eagles are meeting with former Rams Head Coach Steve Spagnuolo to become the teams Defensive Cordinator. And I dont know about you, but I for one am glad that we are finally getting someone that knows how to coach a defense. I dont wanna hear " but they did so good the last four games. The eagles played the dolphins, jets, cowboys and redskins. None of the four finished .500 or better and all were well to put it nicely very bad this year. With Steve we have a guy that knows the system, know how to effectively use our corners and not in some bullshit cover two. When you have Nnandi you dont use a zone I am no coach but yet I was smarter than half of the coaching staff. It was a frustrating year for fans and the team. I do believe that next year will be better though. The offensive line is coming together pretty well other than that the offense is fine. May I add that the eagles may want to start finding a suitable replacement for when Michael Vick goes down. This year we need to look a defense and nothing else. The linebackers are young and I will put the blame on that. Add the lockout to the wholething it was just embarassing. I think our defensive line looked good. Babin and jenkins proved their worth. I love Patterson but I think he is taking up some cap that if we could get rid of him and find a better option I believe they should do it. I do believe that Casey Matthews has the potential but give him another year to learn. The team deeply needs veteran influence. If this can be added anywhere it has to be the linebacking corps. The Safety posistion looked good they are young. I loved what Kurt Coleman was able to do. Nate allen was alittle vulnerable at times but he played good. I dont even really know what their draft needs are because I believe they pieces are there I just think it comes down to coaching and excution. All in all the 2012 season lies on the defenses shoulders. If we can get the defense up to par with a full off season I think the eagles will reclaim the NFC east and quite possibly the NFC conference.
