Our defense will not be a top 10 defense this year.
I like that he’s owning up to the fact that they’re a weakness and going to have to prove themselves a strength.

Too bad he’s got the core of a 7-9 team (in the NFC West, which basically means 5-11 anywhere else)!
For now, at least.

I like the guy, don’t get me wrong… but there’s no reason to think he’s outcoaching anyone at this point.

I don’t think we should say that he is going to out-coach Andy but lets not forget that this guy is one of the best defensive minds in the game and is turning the Rams franchise around. And then on the offensive side of the ball he has Josh McDaniels who for all his flaws as a head coach is one of the best offensive coordinators, if not the best offensive coordinator in the league.

I've got a problem.
As much as I tout sportmanship as being how we should come about this game, I have no sympathy for T.O.’s money problems or his torn ACL. Maybe I am a hypocrit here, but I feel that this man has somehow done me, my team and my fellow fans real harm. I actually predicted on this board in an argument with JIBTA two years ago that within five years Terrell Owens would be a broke, drunken, nobody.
Has this guy gone so far above and beyond the call of self-centerdness and been so hurtfull to our Eagles that he deserves the fate of ending his career as a broke, hobbled loser, or am I taking the game too seriously?

Who feels the Eagles will just dominate the Rams and kill em?
Have everyone forgotten about Michael Vick and this potent offense? Our OL was shit last year…did that stop them? Our defense is twice as talented and weve already shown plenty of improvement in pass rush and corner play already this year. The Linebackers are at the same point they were last year right now….
The national media are all picking the Rams to win this….which boggles my mind…. so what …just because youre labeled Dream Team, but you have rookies starting at OL and LB that youre going to get crushed by the freakin 7-9 Rams? Are you kidding me? Man…crazy….

The Eagles really haven’t had the time to gell.
New coaches, new schemes, new personnel, position changes – these are all things that take time to get running right. The Eagles didn’t have enough time to do that in the pre-season, so they are going to have to work out the bugs in the early season.
If this were game 8, I’d feel different, but I am going to consider Sunday a serious challenge for the Eagles.

I agree. I was thinking about our defense and everything last year, we’ve improved a ton. Fokou played fine last year and I expect him to play fine this year. Is Chaney worse then Ernie Sims because Sims was a 1st rounder and Chaney was picked in the 7th. Right now Ernie Sims is looking up at the sky somewhere confused about what that really bright light is. Chaney’s an upgrade. Is Matthews really that much worse then Stewart Bradley? Stew never played the same post-injury.

I agree with you
Individually, the players have improved (aside from Bradley, I wouldn’t call Matthews better than Bradley at this time) but like everyone is saying, this team hasnt had time to gel.
I really hope we blow out the rams, like this team should, but at the same time, I won’t be surprised to see a tough fought game.
