My predictions on Eagles record 2011

Below are my predictions. What are your thoughts?

Star-divide

WK 1 vs Rams - Win.  However, I am only 85% convinced on this one.  Rams will be a playoff team this year.

WK 2 vs Falcons - Win.   The Falcons will have a few more losses than last season, starting with this one.

WK 3 vs Giants - Win.   Home opener. Book it.

WK 4 vs 49ers - Win.   If Alex Smith is still in one piece by the time of this game, he won't be after it.

WK 5 vs Buffalo - Win.   Enjoy the wings.

WK 6 vs Redskins - Loss.  Performance anxiety....Seriously, I think the Skins Defense will pull out this win.

WK 7 -  BYE

WK 8 vs Cowboys  -  Win.   I'll take Big Red with two weeks to prepare.

Wk 9 vs Bears -  Loss.  Lovie seems to have Big Red's number.

WK 10 vs Cardinals - Win.  Welcome back Kevin. I think the first hit will occur at the airport, by a blitzing baggage handler.

WK 11 vs Giants - Win.  New York (fans) will explode over this one after their Giants implode one more time.

WK 12 vs Patriots - Loss.  Close game but the Patriots pull out the win.

WK 13  vs Seahawks - Win.  Sorry Seattle, someone has to pay for last week's loss.

WK 14 vs Dolphins - Win.  Just as long as they don't party to hard in South Beach. Hopefully, they are not looking ahead to the next game.

WK 15  vs Jets - Win.  Tough, physical game. Might come out of this with a key injury.

WK 16  vs Cowboys - Loss.  See above.

WK 17 vs Redskins - Loss.  And on the 17Th week, they rested.

11 - 5   Bring on the Playoffs!

For a weekly break down.
Now that Mope put me in a corner I am questioning if I should.

Defensive player of the year for 2011 is...

Wild_Eagle!

Yes, Wild_Eagle's infamous reputation did help him get this award. But he shows that he walks the talk that he serves...with his keyboard. Wild_Eagle protects the motherland (BGN) from the evils of noobs, douche-bags, and other assholes. Although he may be crude and unnecessary, all great defenders draws the yellow flag from time to time.

I've been staying in the range of 12-4 and 14-2 for the most part.

I would like to see a game or two of real play before I start making such a big prediction like this.

But I will say looking at our schedule we have a handful of tough teams and a lot of teams we should kill… This schedule based off what I’ve seen so far isn’t a very tough one outside of the Falcon, Jets, Pats and divisional games.

So you have us losing to the Redskins twice and the Cowboys once ?? Don’t know about that. Patriots, Jets and Falcons are the only ones I see as tough games, the rest are winnable.

Yeah, just the way I see them. Both are improved IMO

The Redskin second loss is because they are the last team we will play. I dont think we will be in a position to have to play starters, thus the reason for the loss. Trust me, rather see them sweep the East but I just know they will all be bar room fights.

cheers

To be honest, it all depends on how the team comes together, we can have a Super seaon if everything falls into place or we can be mediocre if it takes time for the o-line and the defense to get its act together. But I’m sure we’ll lose some games which we might think are locks right now and maybe we’ll win a couple which we think are going to be losses. It’s really hard to predict this year because I really don’t have a feel on how the team is going to be.

Beating the patriots would give them a nice taste of the superbowl

Meaning the Eagles beating the Patriots would give them a nice taste of the superbowl.

Meaning that the patriots would get a nice taste of the superbowl.

Meaning that if we beat the Patriots that it’s foreshadowing of the superbowl.

In order to foreshadow a superbowl he must be talking about the one coming up.

In order to foreshadow the Eagles beating the Patriots in both the regular season and the superbowl both teams must be in the superbowl together.

In order for both teams to be in the superbowl together in Mapost1’s mind he must think they’re going to be in the superbowl against each other.

If they’re in the superbowl against each other in Mapost’s mind then he must be predicting that the Patriots win the AFC where the Eagles win the NFC meaning those are his superbowl picks.

If it goes as planned we're set.

Cowboys took a step back. If we can stop the Redskins running game or get enough points to force them to throw we’re set.. Giants injuries are in key positions which play in the Eagles favor.

I’m not saying we can’t beat them, I’m just saying that they could field a team of 3rd stringers against our 1’s and put of a huge fight just out of spite.

Of course, we have to show up, can’t be like that Vikings game last year, and maybe we’ll have a clunker in 1 of the 6 games, but that’s all I can see happening at this point.

In the first part of the season (before our week 7 bye week)

Atlanta, Giants, Washington and Rams are the ones I have pegged as tough games…

Atlanta’s looking good. Giants always play us hard. Redskins play us hard. Rams are vastly improved.

The rest we should win. I think we can reasonably go 6-0 or 5-1 in the first part of our season.

I have the Eagles dropping their first 2.

Their OL and interior D are going to be exposed big time, and after some adjustments and personnel changes, they’ll get it on track!
