This is getting a bit out of hand

I love BGN.  Love.  It.  I love BGN the way parents love their stupid, loud, smelly fuck-trophies children (maybe that is an exaggeration, but not by much).  It is the first website I log onto every morning (or early afternoon, depending on the previous night's activities).  It got me through the Lockout, when the prospect of having "no football" was imminent, and to be blunt, downright scary.  It got me through Free Agency and Training Camp, when I was in dire need of any Eagles news the Blog overlords could scratch together.  Castillo bloodied his forehead by head-butting AkeemJordan?!?  FanShotbaby.  Vince Young deemed us (and I use that term loosely seeing how he was an Eagle for all of 5 minutes before he opened his big, fat smelly Pirate Hooker mouth) the Dream Team?!? Multiple FanPostsand Front Page stories for the people.  I seriously love BGN.

Here is an analogy to help out: BGN is to me what crack is to Tyrone Biggums.

But, now that the Birds have stumbled out of the starting block and are struggling, some BGNers are starting to get a little out of hand on this fabulous website.  I know that we are all passionate about the Birds and as such, have an emotional investment that can manifest itself negatively when they lose and we express our displeasure like no other fan base in existence.  This is one of the things that makes Eagles fans great.  But some of you are poisoning the BGN well with your overreactions and absurd ramblings.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and everyone is entitled to share it, but let's try to do so with a little more maturity and class, and here are a few examples of what I am talking about.

1- Some of you just joined BGN, like literally a few days ago, and take a contrarian stance to just about everything that is posted, starting arguments with BGNers that have been around for a long time.  Don't do that.  There is nothing wrong with posting your opinion, but if it is in disagreement with someone else, explain why and provide valid reasons.  To post that someone else is wrong and not explain why you think this, is both frustrating and trollish.  Also, when you argue with everyone, you are bound to be wrong, probably a lot more than not.

2- Some of you act as if you are sitting in the Coach's meetings during the week and know exactly what the Coaches are trying to do with their schemes, yet all you really "know" is what you saw during the game. Don't do that.  Post what you think, but don't act like it is without a doubt, 100% right like you have definitive, first hand insider's knowledge.  (And by the way, I am guessing that some of you like to enjoy an adult beverage or 10 while you watch the game, so your "knowledge" is probably somewhat skewed from what really happened anyway.)

3- Some of you act as if your patronage of BGN is doing the rest of us a favor, and then threaten to leave and never come back.  DON'T DO THAT.  Seriously, do not do that.  If you want to stop visiting BGN, then stop visiting BGN.  Posting it like it is a threat is so freaking childish that it barely warrants addressing.  BGN is the second most frequented SBN football blog.  I am pretty sure that if you leave and don't come back, no one will notice and things will continue as they have been for quite awhile.  Your exit is quite inconsequential.  There are posters on here that annoy the living fuck out of me (cough cough Eagledelphia cough cough), but instead of getting my panties in a twist and threatening to leave BGN because of him or any other posters, or even getting into an argument or trying to change them, I ignore them and move on to other content that is more instructive.  (by the way, I recognize the irony of stating that I ignore him and then include him in my rant, but whatever, I am trying to prove a point)

I know that ranting about rants is probably the wrong way to address these issues, but I had the time this afternoon to share my thoughts and feelings and know that there are BGNers who probably feel the same way, or at least pretty close.

Yesterday's game made me angry.  It made me mad.  It was horrible.  It was disgusting.  It was pathetic.  In a word, it was horgustic!  I wanted to scream and yell at the tv while some of that bullshit was going on.  But coming on here after the fact and making things worse by engaging in the shit I described above is futile and a waste of everyone's time.  This is an adult environment.  Act as such when in attendance.

Thanks for listening reading, I feel better getting this off my chest and hopefully this will make BGN an even better place than it already is.  Have a great day and a better tomorrow.  Reddgie
