Maclin Vs Jackson After 35 Games

Stay connected for news and updates

Ruben Frank tweeted out a fascinating stat yesterday about the production of Jeremy Maclin vs DeSean Jackson after their first 35 games.

Jeremy Maclin - 149 catches, 2,138 yards, 17 touchdowns.

DeSean Jackson - 139 catches, 2,300 yards, 13 touchdowns.

Now, my first reaction is... great! These are two young starters on this team and we're lucky to have them both. However, we have had this ongoing debate on here about which of these two is the better WR. Honestly, I would not have guessed that Maclin has outproduced Jackson almost across the board over his first 35 games.

Jackson has been to two pro bowls, he's a bigger star, defenses seem to pay him more attention... and yet it would appear that Maclin has actually done more damage. Maclin has no doubt benefited by some favorable coverages rolled Jackson's way, but then again he had one of the best games of his career last year against Atlanta after Jackson was out of the game. So he's shown that he's effective either way.

So given the choice, who ya got?
