Total amount of snaps the top 3 picks from our last 2 drafts have played through 2 games.
Brandom Graham
Nate Allen
Daniel Teo Neisham
Danny Watkins
Jaiquawn Jarrett
Curtis Marsh
Sure we can talk about inuries, how impressive Kafka looked Sunday night, and how they are getting starting contributions from a handful of other late round draft picks (coleman, LB squad) but the 1) I think they represent the weakest starters on the team 2) for a team that likes to stay young a gap like that in high end talent is scary as shit.

Nate Allen has to have played some snaps. Even if on special teams. Either way though, point well made.

Not so scared about the Watkins, Jarrett and Marsh
Marsh was going to be a project right from the jump, so I really didn’t expect him to play much early.
Watkins held out for a week, had no spring camps and, of course, is a rookie. So sitting for a bit isn’t too concerning.
Jarrett is picking up the most complex position on the field in our defense, and really has only had about 2 months to learn. That’s fine.
and Colemand was lights out in TC and preseason and Page is steady veteran. The only person im a bit disappointed in is Teo. I thought he would look good in the wide 9.

Finally, a post where 0 makes sense. Good post. Eye opening. With Howie’s track record the Eagles could trade down from the first three rounds and take all of the 5th and 7th’s they would have the best team in the NFL.

While it certainly is nice to find players in the later rounds like Chaney, Coleman, etc.., early round picks come with higher expectations, and deservedly so. I figured Watkins would perhaps struggle a bit early on, but I honestly assumed without question he would be starting. I also assumed that Jarrett would contribute early, laying out devastating hits and be pushing for a starting job by now. I have not heard a peep about him, I almost forgot we drafted him. Most of us figured Marsh to be a bit of a project so not much of a concern there.
Regarding last years picks, Graham and Allen had some growing pains, but at least they were on the field from day one, but WTF with Watkins and Jarrett??
