I know everyone is excited about tommorows games as we should be, but lets keep in mind the heros and the innocent people that lost their lives 10 years ago. America has many holidays that we celebrate with family and food and drink but I cant think of too many days that as significant as 9/11 where we mourn the loss of fellow Americans instead of celebrate. Perhaps playing football tommorow on the 10th anniversary is a great way to show the world that we might stumble but we wont fall down but at the same token i hope tommorows excitement for the games doesn't take away from what 9/11 is meant to be. I cant help but to think as we sit back in our chairs watching the games with friends and families enjoying ourselves many others sit back and remember what they lost. Few days ago I was involved in a little rant about New York loosing their players to injuries, but now sitting here typing I cant stop thinking about what New York lost 10 years ago. Im not really too sure why im writing this, i think if anyone has a story about how they were affected by 9/11, lost a love one, maybe someone they knew, or just where they were and what there initial reaction was at least is somehow someway we can keep what happened on 9/11 and the reality of what happened in our thoughts as we approach tommorows new season and not let football outshine what tommorow is all about.
