An open letter to Desean Jackson...
Desean, the next T.O.?
Dear Desean,
Don't let Drew steer you wrong. You have been inconsistent in your play & juvenile in your actions. You have cost your team points. Yes you put some on the board, but that IS what you ARE paid already to do. Not take points away because you have no self control. How many points and yards have you cost this team with those actions? and, With a straight face you are asking for more money? Well, play up to your contract FIRST. Be mature, be a whole team player, not just a show boater that costs points and yards! You are well out of high school and even college, yet you have learned little. Now, like an apparent BIG FAT BABY, you still think it's all about you you you! GET REAL BUDDY! Yes you have talent, yes you have game, but NO you don't have self control. WHY WOULD THEY PAY YOU MORE NOW? Having been responsible for employee reviews, raises and promotions; as well as disciplinary actions for hundreds of people over my career, I can tell you that you have only earned a rating of IMPROVEMENT REQUIRED. Not even Achieving Expectations. Only someone who has EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS could ask for more money and expect to receive it. Prove consistency, team play and maturity FIRST, then you might have a leg to stand on and a fan base that would empathize with your situation; instead of being disgusted by it. I mean, don't you think they have learned from prior mistakes. FYI, that is the usual rule of thumb--learn from your mistakes. (You don't seem to have a handle on that one yet.) They spent money, time and effort on another inconsistent player who brought in no rings. His name was Donavan. Then there was the real brat of the pack, Terrell Owens. I believe you are already acquainted with his agent. On that note, I urge you to watch this open letter video I have posted to you on youtube. I goes over the "Dream Team", your silly antics and holdout as well as an interesting glimpse into your possible future as T.O. jr......

bullshit
he hasn’t cost us points. name one time where we lost points because he got flagged or because his actions. Does he get flagged? sure but I actually like the swag he brings to the eagles because it makes the victory sweeter especially when he shows off against a rival. And he has more then played up and above his contract. Does he deserve what he’s reportedly asking? no but he does deserve more money

Not really feelin the letter but
Everyone is entitled to their opinion I personally think we should pay him top 5 recover money even though he isn’t a top 5 reciever. This is because he is capable of anything at any given moment hence the infamous giants. My point is Djack is not like any other reciever he is special so the FO should just bend a bit to pay him most of the money he wants

Disagree with post 100%
WHY WOULD THEY PAY YOU MORE NOW?
Because he has been doing great and he’s still on his rookie contract making around 500k.
He’s been producing and he deserves a new contract, maybe not as much as a top tier WR, but something accommodating to his skills.
i do agree that holding out is not helping the issue, but for some reason thats what players think is necessary to get a new deal.
Wrong
Desean has outplayed his rookie contract. He absolutely deserves and should get more money. To say otherwise is ridiculous. Holding out isn’t the right move at this point, but don’t start comparing him to T.O. yet. It’s not even close.

YodaDog I agree with you 100% man
IDC what you have done on the field you as an PROFESSIONAL athlete have an obligation to set a good example when theres thousands of kids and even grown ass adults looking up to you. You my friend, with these actions, are expendable. I for one have never accepted people with the all about me attitude no matter what they’ve done. Kiss my ass and go screw with these childish actions.

so because i look up to him i
will hold out of my job until I get a raise? yep sounds like a great plan.

Differences between TO and Desean...
- TO was a dick. Deasean’s an immature kid.
- TO wanted a deal 1 year after he got a very generous deal from us.. Deasean’s making 500k as the best playmaker in the NFL…
- TO was just being selfish and greedy.. Desean is right in wanting a new contract.
Desean is right, albeit he’s going about this in the wrong way he is right. He not only wants a new contract he NEEDs a new contract. I honestly think it’d be a poor financial decision for Desean not to show up to camp, he just needs to get here, show he’s committed to this team, make plays and hammer out a fair deal with the Eagles.
Defensive player of the year for 2011 is...
Wild_Eagle!
Yes, Wild_Eagle's infamous reputation did help him get this award. But he shows that he walks the talk that he serves...with his keyboard. Wild_Eagle protects the motherland (BGN) from the evils of noobs, douche-bags, and other assholes. Although he may be crude and unnecessary, all great defenders draws the yellow flag from time to time.

In no way is Desean comparable to TO. He is a great receiver, that gets a lot of respect from opposing defenses, and an accomplished special teamer. Need I remind you of the miracle at meadowlands II. You need to come off your high horse and take you micro-managing ass back to whatever rock you crawled out from under.
I hope I am wrong, but Kolb is a four-letter word.
I would say
that he has exceeded expectations.

I didn’t read but the first few lines because I could see where you were going with this and you are wrong.
I immensely hate how he celebrates (it would be nice if the next time he scores a TD, he pulls a Barry Sanders and just hands the ball to the ref like scoring TDs is no big deal) and wish he would stop speaking hood rat on his texts, but both of those are completely separate from the fact that he is the MOST UNDERPAID player in the NFL, including Chris Johnson. He has earned a new contract. He deserves a new contract.
this is so bad
