With Fitzgerald getting a huge pay increase, does that change how much the Eagles will have to pay Jackson? Even Hester is getting 10 mil per year.. so you would have to argue that Jackson's value is now between 10 and 15 mil per year.
In fact, the most recent FanPost I could find was an argument that paying Jackson 5-6 million per year would be TOO MUCH. I don't see any logic behind that argument any more.
I also don't think the Eagles have a remote chance in hell to resign Jackson now. If we're talking over 10 mil per year, we don't even have the salary cap for it (even after resigning Vick). We would have to resign Vick, trade/cut Hanson/Parker (OR trade Asante) and we'd just barely be able to offer Jackson 10 mil per year...
I think Howie needs some advice on this one, unless he has another magic trick up his sleeves.. what does everyone else think?
