Hey, what about Special Teams?
So it looks like we have the O and the D pretty much set up for a good run, as long as all the new players and coaches and schemes can gel before the season opener, which IS a tall order, no matter how great the players and coaches are. But then there is one area that I have heard very little about, and that is Special Teams. Seeing Dmitri is gone and expecting Eldra Buckley to be dropped, plus expecting a number of other reliable ST players to disappear through the cuts, I'm wondering if anyone has an (intelligent) take on where we'll be with ST at the season opener.

on what an awesome punter we have snagged from Florida. I watched this kid in college. The drawback is he took a 3 step drop, which will have to be modified to a 2 step in the pros. The plusses are absolutely everything else. His hang time is unreal. He holds and kicks FGs and extra points. He kicks off. He has a total rocket for a leg, and I can see why Bobby April wanted him.

Ronnie Brown seems like he’d be a good return man on kickoffs.

huh?
Craig Coopper, Lee Higgans, Locke, Moss, Calvin, and DRC are all competing for KR. AS far as KO’s we have a ton of young LB’s and WR’s and RB’s to fill the need.

Juan Castillo switching from the offensive line coach to Defensive coordinator is soooo dumb it might just work.
